The closest we will ever get to a George A. Romero game is Dead Rising (which even mentions his name and Dawn of the Dead on the game-cover lol)...for being EXTREMELY similar.

ALSO, Left 4 Dead 2 has a Mall scene where u have to get to a car and drive (just like Dawn of the Dead).

Plus the ENTIRE Resident Evil series was inspired by George A. Romero.

but i notice that left 4 dead looks like LOTD cause theres some zombies that vomite on you and explodes, the sewer part and the arrive to the hospital also the end when you must fight with a lot of zombies, just think about it

yea, if memory serves it was a Half life 2 mod, and the developers in the uh...commentary track of the game (yea theres one as you play its pretty cool) they got it from dickign around in a bot match of Counter Strike Source where they gave 4 guys tons of hardware vs 30 guys only with knives.

They should make a movie based in the Romero universe, maybe an RPG style. The closest anyone has came to making a good Romero-type video game is Dead Rising, which is a fantastic game.

left 4 dead is an obvious reworking of a goerge romero zombie game they tried to make a couple of yrs ago,...it didnt work ... slow moving zombies in a twitch game were too easy ..the result was lame .. they re tooled it , made left 4 dead instead .

honestly i can see why it got scrapped. the other game sucks more granted, but this one looks to have the physics of quake 2. i design physics engines for games, and the one for this looks liek a slightly modified Doom engine with more gore added, and slightly better bipeds. the graphics look awful, and the whole thing seems generic.double pistols and a machine gun. wow.they could do better with a Romero story.
