I would also suggest you switch your cpu fan so it blows out the front before your capacitors blow (mine did) and I had to replace them.

@BryanBlaz You would have to do a motherboard transplant, and that may be more work than its worth. I suggest building your own computer instead of messing with changing the processor.

the ports which you don't know ,the green ones are old-school 9-pin Serial/COM Ports for connecting to specialist server, old-school mice and other older peripherals. The pink one's the older parallel printer port, before they used USB.

@spencer360HD you can get a small graphics card that runs off of a PCI-E (or pci express) port inside the computer, you just open it up and plug it right in and it should work, im getting a new nvidia card soon :p

Nice review. Although what you called SCSI is actually a parallel port and the two green "thingies" are serial ports. Also you can get rid of that memory there and get 4x4GB modules to upgrade to 16GB total.

Got this mini tower dell optiplex gx620 + the Big tower Gx620 and they'r both great ;) Both got PCI videocard slot and if u Update your bios u can go up for more Ram , big tower got also a Dual core so for games its a good pc also. (Got this pc and want to see some games? , on my channel the older video's without the Picture at the beginning are with the Mini Tower , The newer one with the Picture beginning is the Dual Core)

@patizel1 Amazon is fine. Any desktop is going to "heat up." Its nothing specific to this computer. There is really no way of stopping it.

My gateway 500s has lasted me 9 years and atm I think the mother board is about to go out, it has a fan and all, and it takes trouble to turn it on, because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Right now since i tried a million times to turn it on it turned on yesterday, and now im leaving the computer on, hoping we can get this one.

That's not SCSI lol. It's parallel evidenced by its pink colour. If you plug a SCSI device with that connector [SCSI has many different connector types] into the parallel, you'll short it (possibly damaging the computer) as the voltages are way different.

@geekong While I had this I only successfully updated the hard drive. I had ordered RAM and Nvidia GeForce 8400GS but then the card wouldnt work so I sent the RAM and graphics card back and also returned the computer. I dont know if the problem was the computer or the fact I was running Windows 7

I'm in the same boat, try to find a Video SFF for GX620 with only power supply of 275W. I suspect your card was too heavy on power. Only ATI old model recommand by Dell will work but that are not powerfull..

@stawolf73 I order some card off newegg and it didn't work so I just returned the computer. SFF computers are just too hard to find compatible stuff for. If I would have know that it would have been that hard to find a video card, I wouldn't have bought the thing

Dude I have this computer It does support Windows 7 Use vista drivers after installing Win 7. It only supports 32 bit Windows.
