Just spent a whole day diving yesterday to clean 4 ADCP's under water. what kind of fabric do you use to cover it? how much did it reduce the cleaning effort (frequency)? thanks for any information
@watertothepeople . We learned the trick about Cayenne-Vaseline pepper from the ADCP supplier Aquavision, who read in in some scientific papers. You should make a thick paste with lots of Cayenne (2 small jars of Cayenne to 1 large pot of Vaseline) and pack it in a thin mesh. We used SAEFAR Nitex 03-41/31. We clean the ADCP 2x per year and have not had any signal/accuracy problems with the ADCP (in the water for 2,5 years now).
