  • To ferment the idli batter, keep the batter in a ceramic vessel so it retains the warmth.Warm up the batter by putting in microwave for 30 second intervals for 3 or 4 times.Churn batter inbetween intervals by hand else the hot lumps will be formed.Bring batter to warm temperature not hot.Leave microwave light (light below microwave) on so that microwave chamber is warm all night.Cover batter with glass lid leaving slight opening by placing cover tilted.Leave batter overnight.

  • first ,it is an old video, second use the pause button to see what you missed. with an INDIAN NAME LIKE "HEMANT" figuring out what is shown or said should not be a difficult task.Try once more also see previous comments also.

  • Please view thw video again... slowly using the pause button. Also use enough water to soak the grains (1:1) then grind using the soak-water to make the pancake consistancy batter . also search google key word idli or dosa south indian dishes, etc Enjoy the food from india.
