  • Stop bellyaching and whining about Bush. Do or say something intelligent toward resolving the chaos that is looming.

  • So the solution is to fight hard for tax cuts of 700 billion dollars for the richest 1 percent.

  • GOT SOLUTIONS?????

  • Dems solution to everything is to blame it on the Republicans. 50 yrs from now the Dems will still blame everything on GW.

  • @gubnillec & vice versa whats your point?

  • Obama helped me make a small fortune ;)

Too bad I started out with a large one :P

  • Mr. Cantor, you seem to conveniently forget the 7 million jobs lost under Bush's watch, and the enourmous debt cycle the republicans got us into during the last 8 years. The last 3 months during Obama's 14th through 17th month in office, we've seen the largest drop in jobs lost in almost 3 years. It's getting better under Obama, not worse. Your party caused this. Our party is fixing it.

  • I do not feel these problems are the work of President Obama. I feel as though he is being mishandled by our Government and his ideals and ideas are being twisted and undermined. I agree there is a problem and I hope President Obama can get past these Government Hurdles to be able to bring us on track and prosper.

  • All of this is OUR FAULT! The voters! We are the ones who ALLOWED it ALL to happen because we have been hiding our heads in the sand and allowing the government TO MUCH CONTROL! We need to WAKE UP!!! Every bit of this is OUR fault. Not just one man WE call President. No matter WHAT year we are talking about. We DONT know the history of these men and WHAT they vote for and stand for. We just listen to what they SAY and believe it. Sad...really sad.

  • You can't honestly say the problems started with Obama. Get a clue Eric, your party is holding the country back.

  • God help us, because we need You now more than ever! Mr. Cantor, thank you for keeping up the fight in Washington!

  • if republicans would were in we would have lost 10 million jobs

  • I guess we continue with rhetoric... this mess was left by Republicans... ! If we want results we should concentrate on what works without dividing more between groups.

  • @UTube123go Uh-- This mess is entirely the Democrats fault. They insisted, fought for and then fought back any and all attempts to reform. Then they dropped the bomb with no warning and no plan for political gain when obama dropped to -5% against McCain. Their strategy is always the same. Socialize and Marxism.. Always blame the other guy for the fallout. That's the history. Tomorrow they will point the finger and blame everyone else for their "stimulus" and their "heathcare " too.

  • @play2k2000 I feel the same way, nothing he has done that i am aware of has actuly worked,he made alot of promises and none have come true !

  • the job loses are happend because the wconomy is crashing world wide - it wouldn´t be lower unemployment without Obama .....

  • Get school, now.

  • shouldn't the video start when the job losses started? that was way back during the bush administration. It started when the high gas prices popped the housing bubble remember? Obama spent most of the second half of his election campaign begging bush to put forward some kind of economic recovery plan. it was all over the news....

  • @lwatkins4, actually to be fair it all started in 1999 under Clinton, don't you remember the dot com collapse, that was when the stock market went flat and that was the beginning.

Do you remember Enron and WorldCom, that all broke loose in 2001 but it all started under Clinton, the Bush admin is the one that prosecuted the crooks.

What popped the housing bubble was OPEC raising oil prices to $140 a barrel.

You also forgot that Clinton gave China Most Favored Nation Trading Status.

  • well we got to be fair here! Obama-Nero made at least 30 jobs! remember his czars! lmao

  • money for nothing...and too many of us americans don't want to take the blame. Pile that, on top of dirty politics and you get our current situation. The bigger they are, the harder they fall...and eventually, we need to fall to realize that we're not invincible.

  • Yo Canter,

Ever hear of the difference between CAUSATION and CORRELATION?

The Eastern seaboard got hit with record snowfall this last year. SURELY the cause was that the DEMOCRATS have control of the government, right?

You are a disgrace to your college professors. Grow up!

  • @FanOfDjorno

Way to miss the point sparky...the issue is that we're talking 800 billion that is out the door, in the ether, and GONE...and we're at 4 million unemployed.

So in short the stimulus legislation did whole lot of nothing but put up a bunch of signs on state highways about how it saved jobs.

  • that was awesome.

so now lets move to a solution. need to tell the American people - we want this _____. universal tax cuts. Open up opportunity by getting rid of caps... less government - even if it means the Gov. ends programs.

Sell Amtrack to the highest bidder - sell the post office - break it apart - to the highest bidder. Feds can keep their own post office for themselves.

And end nancy's trips on fighter jets.

And when BIG companies threaten to die without a bail out - just say NO

  • Frustrated: Why is $80 Billion of the 1st Stimulus still not being used? Why was the 1st Stimulus used for Political payoffs, Pork Barrel Projects, and Special interest groups? Why is government expanding while the private sector is being suffocated? Why was Senator Scott Brown's amendment not passed that would have used the $80 Billion as a tax break to ALL Americans no matter who they voted for??

  • More people believe Elvis is still roaming the Earth than believe the "stimulus" was successful

  • Who was president 26 years before Cantor made this ludicrous video? Why it was Ronald Reagan....and his high unemployment rate was actually a record since the Great Depression era...at 10.8%...it took 2 years and 7 months before Reagan 's unemployment number began to improve...but even so, at the end of his first term, unemployment was 7.3%..and his net improvement was only .2% since it was 7.5% in 1981 when he took office. And the Republicans are proud of that????

  • So what's the point and more importantly, what points are Mr. Cantor omitting such as his party's culpability in the events that led to this economic crisis being inherited by the president? Or is it the President's lack of clairvoyance in estimating the exact number of jobs lost? How many jobs would have been lost without any action? What actions/solutions were being proposed by the GOP other than a return to business as usual? Who's really spouting rhetoric here?

  • Poor Obama

What a huge problem the republicans passed on to him.

  • I don't really think it is Obama's fault, fact is this generation of Americans are just lazy, regardless of what party they are a part of.

  • Guess Cantor is reading his script.

  • I'm curious Eric Cantor, what would you do to reverse what's been happening in one year ?

  • The stimulus bs is pure Marxist mindset. IF it actually created any jobs, they were merely "keep busy" junk that didn't "simulate" any businesses to actually hire and expand their opportunities. Just like back in the Soviet Union in the day, get 20,000 "workers" will shovels to dig a ditch, when the hole was dug, collect the shovels and the 20,000 wait until the next "stimulus" from the government. BTW supposedly for how many jobs it created, it would average out to over 300,000.00 for person.

  • @revelationparadigm

    wrong

we were losing 800 000 jobs a month, the rate is going down and down

and the economy up and up,

  • Reagan (8 years) Deficits = $1.5 trillion, Debt Increase = $1.9 trillion.

Bush Sr. (4 years) Deficits = $1 trillion, Debt Increase = $1.2 trillion.

    Clinton (8 years) Surplus = $63 billion, Debt Increase = $1.1 trillion.

Bush Jr. (8 years) Deficits = $3.5 trillion, Debt Increase = $5.5 trillion.

Obama (0 years - Obama was inaugurated January 20, 2009 therefore the first budget year we should hold him accountable for is October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010.)

  • Reagan (8 years) Deficits = $1.5 trillion, Debt Increase = $1.9 trillion.

  • wow that was boring... I fell asleep a little and its still going on

  • Obama: Spending is Stimulus. That's the Whole Point! Obama has already helped quadruple the deficit with his stimulus package, Overall, Obamas budget would add twice as much debt as President Bush over the same number of years. The Washington Post has a great graphic which helps put President Obamas budget deficits in context of President Bushs. Bush expanded the federal budget by a historic $700 billion. President Obama would add another $1 trillion. Facts are stubborn things.

  • @hellotommy

those are facts, but how do you expect to buy the store back?

    for free?

  • Funny how facts can be presented in a clear, concise manner and STILL the libs don't get it.

  • Reagan (8 years) Deficits = $1.5 trillion, Debt Increase = $1.9 trillion.

  • As for the stimulus package... for all it's flaws if did do some good. In comparing the 1980's market free fall, it took more then three years for the economy to start to show signs of the recovery. Though there was some wasteful spending, the money did help the economy enough that after 2 years we've seen a surprising turnaround in the markets. Granted, the gains aren't continues, but at least there is no longer a freefall. We could really recover in a year at this rate. Jobloss will remain tho

  • @vguyver2

The 80's free market fall started with carter's admin

  • Unfortunately for President Obama, he had no choice but to bail out all these various company's. Ironically, the deregulation of the market caused rapid growth, but in the long run it would of completely crushed the economy for decades to come. If the government in general had not approved of the bailouts, then the situation would of been much worse. The domino effect from toxic funds these companies had would of eventually of destroyed every US financial institute and abroad.

  • If the government had not gotten involved so deeply with the housing market, the bubble never would have gotten so big. All the high risk financial instruments built on top of the bad housing debt, was done so KNOWING they would be bailed out, also making the bubble even bigger. We've hardly reached the bottom of our course correction yet.

  • Come to think of it, I recall reading about it in one economic Magazine years ago. The Economy went downhill, Reagan and Bush couldn't foresee it happening, and they couldn't do much aside from keeping it from getting worse. In the end it took 6 years to recover from that, and towards the end of the recovery, the unemployment rate was still at 13%. It took time for the markets to regroup and grow on their one. But it took at least 4 years before the economy started to improve overall in markets

  • @vguyver2

"the rate was still at 13%?

    when was that?

at the end of bush the rate was almost 8%, then went down to less than 4% under clinton

  • You know, it's always typical of people to blame the current ruling party for problems occurring in current situations. But people never seem to remember what led up to it all. I personally blame Clinton for this, and Bush himself had already weakened the economy considerably with his focus on the war, or is never a good economical situation aside from the arms industry. Also, I have to point out that in the 80's there was a similar economic downfall during the Republican's reign.

  • @vguyver2

what did clinton do that made this mess possible?

  • Hope Republicans understand that less government, less taxes and less spending is the ONLY way out of this. I get that Republicans understand that we don't need Big Brother for hand outs. BUT DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT AMERICAN CITIZENS ARE NOT TO BE CONTROLLED AND REGULATED. I hope you didn't vote for the Patriot Act. I hope you VOTE against additional spending for our military. Republicans must understand that we are not to conduct preemptive war that costs as much money as Dem. fee had outs.

  • I love how you liberals just can't admit the stimulus failed. You are hell bent on riding this sinking ship to the bottom. Fine by me.

Logical, rational people jump when the ship is sinking, they don't wait for November to be pushed.

(those hands you feel on your back are not hands supporting you up, they the rest of us simply getting our footing to toss you all over the side. 2010, the ship gets a little lighter )

  • @klim8hokes

    "did not work"

do you expect to rebuilt a structure that took 8 long years to burn?

we are on our way up

    facts

last year of bush we lost around 800 000 and banks were going down, but after the stimulus, no bank is in trouble, they are making money and have payed back billions of dollars

and the rate of losses keeps going down

the last 2 quarters saw the economy going up to 5%

  • I find it fascinating that not one of you liberals in this thread could actually dispute the facts of the video. Instead, you go off on your own little tangents. No wonder you are so completely ineffective when in power. Do you know how much more credibility you'd have if you just came out and admitted the "stimulus" didn't work and you are going to try something different?

When the ship is sinking, you jump--instead, you'll wait for Nov to be pushed.

  • @klim8hokes

    facts

during the last 12 months of bush's presidency, the rate of jobs losses kept going up to around 800 000 in december,

in January we lost about the same, but during next 12 months, the rate of losses was reversed, in fact, in december we gained jobs, then we lost some

but the trend is moving toward recovery

in fact, during the last 5-6 months, we lost what bush lost in just one year, the last one

    got it now"

BTW, the economy has grown in the last two quarters to over 5%

  • Eric Cantor how do you pay your bills when you don't have any money? How will you pay the cops, firemen, & teachers when the US don't have any money? Who's going to protect the people when someone gets raped and the cop isn't there? Who's going to save a burning house when a fireman isn't there? Who's going to teach our children education when there's no teachers? When you do tax cuts you don't have money to pay the bills that the the US owes! The whole reason for taxes is to pay the bills!

  • It's like what Kteachums on here said "Why do the people who say "no " to everything all of a sudden have the answers. What would have happened with no stimulus?" What is it that you have presented that would prevent the job loses here in America? Where are the GOP Plans put into full details on videos and on CSPAN explaining their Stimulus package? It's always been the same old thing from the Republicans like what Bush did Tax Cuts, Tax Cuts, Tax Cuts for the rich.

  • The republicans spent eight years dismantling the economic structure of the country and expect the new administration to turn it around in one year as the rightwing votes against everything that is being done to repair it. My My My, what a bunch of losers.

  • You have ideas? Ok, post them.

  • Convenient that you have failed to mention who got the unemployment train started.

  • i still don't see one of my comments here. i suggest you go to the White House's channel here on youtube and note that those videos allow comments to post automatically. no censorship there.

    what are you afraid of?

  • Keynesian economics does not work!! Why is it that when people talk about "tax cuts for the rich" they never talk about spending cuts? Does the government spend your money (tax payer) better than you? Is the government running so efficiently that there is no waste? I work at a company where the owner is over taxed. It is possible he may close up because of this. Yet he is "rich"...I say give him (and others like him) an incentive to keep his doors open. This would save 35 jobs.

  • This is a VERY misleading video.

You did not count all the GREEN JOB$ that have been created.

  • Obama is doing the job as well as Jimmy Carter did when he had the job, -- when Jimmy took away from America any sense of stability, security or confidence.

    Hope was destroyed by Obama.

    Change is coming in November.

    There are 2 choices:

drink more koolaid while listing to white house propaganda.

Or wake up and start seeing things for what they are and start thinking for yourself.

In November, hit the reset button.

  • You Republicons are a total joke! If it wasn't for the stimulus money I would be unemployed. You love giving Corporations huge tax breaks but they continue to send jobs overseas. Then you try to bust unions that help the middle class earn a living wage. You don't care about passing bills you used to sponsor just because they get endorsed by Democrats!! Give it up!

  • @TheSuperLiberal .... Yes !!! Finally someone has finally called out the GOP for their decades of union bashing. Job well done.

  • Thank you for posting this excellent video. Judging by the rabid dislike liberals have for this video and for facts they are afraid of hearing, it is a tremendous unquestionable success!

  • Rep. Cantor, weren't you at a job fair in your district where over half of the employers who attended were able to hire people because of help from the stimulus? Are you not aware of those in your caucus who have attended ribbon-cutting ceremonies that were made possible because of the stimulus?

  • This video only tells half the story. Sure unemployment was high but things are getting better. The unemployment rate is starting to come down slowly. When the second part of the original stimulus takes effect unemployment will fall further. Your partys way of stimulating the economy is with tax cuts for the rich, the trickle down effect. Well the trickle down never trickles down to the working people of America. Reagan and Bush both proved that.

  • Ohio: Trickle down has worked before.

When you pressure the top of the tree that force ALWAYS translates to the roots.

Trickle down always occurs with negative effects so it will also work for positive effects.

  • Fair Tax sounds great at face value. It proposes a 23% tax rate but in real terms we'll pay an effective tax rate of nearly 35%. We will all pay taxes on services that we are currently tax exempt.

  • 8050 views but only 16 comments,, LMAO Why don't You want to hear what the American people have to say??

  • I'm sick and tired of this kind of GOP responsibility dodging and nay saying propaganda. How about you get something done for me, my family, my community and my country? Hmm? Or you're going to use your favorite word of late: NO?

I don't care about Obama and the Democrats buddy, or what you have to say about them, because you and your GOP colleagues have been elected to work WITH them for better or worse. SO STOP POINTING FINGERS AND GET TO WORK!!!

  • You obviously haven't seen the bar chart showing the unemployment numbers for the past 9 yrs. Jobs were being lost at an ever increasing rate before Obama became President and have slowed down considerably each month since the simulus went into effect. Eric, you should know the people are much better informed than you give us credit for.

  • They say the best thing that Herbert Hoover did for FDR was be president through most of the great depression so that when FDR came in no one challenged that his methods worked,I would love to see who the conservatives would be blaming if one of their own was president and unemployment was at 20%

  • The rhetoric comes from you cantor. You're the biggest hypocrite around. Jobs have been created under Our President Barack Oabma, they were lost under you and your bumbling leader bush, who also destroyed our entire economy. What were you doing to help Our country for those 8 years? All you did was say yes to the policies that bankrupt Our country, now suddenly you've got the answer to unemployment? You should resign and allow someone honest and competent to fill your spot. You're a disgrace.

  • It seems that Representative Cantor has forgotten a bit of what he should had learned in his college logic day. His reasoning fails in any number of ways. For example, he asks us to infer a conclusion on the basis of a hoc ergo propter hoc argument. He is saying "Unemployment occurred after the stimulus, therefore the stimulus caused high unemployment." But couldn't the same argument be made about GW Bush's massive tax cuts to the rich or Bush's much greater spending, both of which he supports?

  • This video is both dishonest and misleading. I wish the republicans would stop trying to manipulate people in order to win votes. The fact is the number of people losing jobs each month has decreased because of the stimulus.

  • Instead of shoveing all that corporate lobby cash in your pocket, Maybe you should tell the corps to bring the jobs back from China That Reagonomics sent there in the first place

  • 8,042 views and only 16 (SIXTEEN!) approved comments???

LOL, come on, this is American, correct? wow.

  • Cantor should be ashamed of himself and his party. This is another attempt at deceiving Americans by turning attention away from the total failure of the republicans, their unwillingness to accept responsibility or learn from their failure and their classless attempt to place blame for their failure on the President.

The stimulus has created over one million desperately needed jobs. The worst economic down fall in 70 years would have been far worse if not for the Democratic stimulus.

  • lol, reagan? it's been over 30 years and what's left of the middle-income class and the low-income class are STILL waiting for trickle down to STOP trickling up and start trickling down.

why is it okay for republicans to spend BILLIONS on an unnecessary war waged at a country that had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11 and posed no threat to the USA, and yet republicans never want to spend a dime on Americans?

    Americans FIRST

    corporatists LAST or NEVER

  • Smoke and mirrors from the party of NO! The answer to the repugnicant lies is SINGLE PAYER HEALTHCARE FOR ALL! Don't let the repugs fool you about the last 8 year cheney-bush failure. TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMICS WILL NEVER WORK. Great economies are built from solid middle-class foundations!

  • All will deny ever voting for Obama...

  • Very good. I've been hearing a lot of news regarding this lie and many other of 0bamas false promises. At this point, I'm not sure if he's a liar or just incompetent.

How many jobs have been created as result of the stimulus? Not including government jobs, Zero. That why I always spell 0bama with a zero (0 not O). Because 0 is how much he's come through for the American citizen.

If 3 million jobs have been created, they're in Mexico, China and the Philippines.

  • Welcome back Jimmy Carter and the goodtime guys! How long before this usurper obama destroys the US economy?

  • Welcome back Jimmy Carter and the goodtime guys! How long before this usurper destroys our economy!

  • Erik Cantor:

tell us why did you voted against teh stimulus and then you praised it using millions of dollars for the High spped railways?

  • the more they spend, the more WE lose..

  • Finally, someone who can state the obvious,to bad you obviously state things in order to recieve something unearned. For all the negative things you stated about Obama and the Democrats you stated about yourself and all the Republicans. If you only have the ability to reconize problems, then at least earn your paycheck by finding people with the abilities to find solutions. The only thing needed is for those who are unwilling, unable or unwanting to shut up,sit down and stay out of the way.

  • Thank you for posting this great video with the facts about the abject failure of Obama's policies. I will definitely spread the information and this video around.

  • Great message in under 3 min, should be played during American idol and Dancing with the Stars!

  • Great message in under 3 minutes. It should be played during American idol and Dancing with the Freaking Stars!!

  • If Americans don't see that this is all done on purpose, then they deserve EVERYthing coming to them in the next two years.

  • Thanks for all the comments. Spread the word and send the video to your friends.

  • You're joking right? Best check your facts and please be honest as to just how economics work and state the fact that the current President has inherited 90% of the unemployment issues from the causes and unemployment numbers created by the past administration. Then provide the proper numbers that reflect where unemployment would be without the efforts that the current administration is providing.

  • In continuation, it is very easy to point out the problems and it's another to actually provide some alternate solutions, an invitation given yet not responded to.

  • Will Republicans start using the words govern by the American Constitution?

  • @EricCantor History shows that there are three indicators that an economy is turning around after a recession. First comes the investment (stock market) then comes the commerce (GDP) and then employment always comes last. The first two are already turning up. The President has three more years to fix employment and I think he will. No thanks to you and the Republicans. The party of No! Hey, I got an idea! I can't wait to see you guys get worked over by the President again on Feb 25th.

  • The stimulus worked as intended. even republican econmists are saying this. why are you republicans standing in the way of more job creation?

  • Let some comments through ,

  • Democrat is not an adjective.

  • Eric

    signs points to a recovery

    are you not glad?

  • It would have been 20% unemployment without the stimulus bill.

  • @eyeview

Yea, and the ones we saved will cost us more than they will ever produce for a longer time.

  • This is what happens when the past year's focus has been placed on health care overhaul. The immediate priority was obviously employment, but the injection of 3/4 of a trillion dollars into the economy was wasteful, when accountability measures are not in place to guarantee the desired results.

  • If only the Republican Party were any better...

Guys, seriously, we know what a loser the Marxist Zero's Party is. Now convince us you're not the same old Rockefeller Republican party that works hand in hand with them.

    We won't be fooled again...

  • This is what happens when a hopey, changey, liberal with no experience is elected

  • Wow this video was very good! Who produced it? I ask because I make internet videos for Republican candidates and causes out here in Sacramento. And it is rare to see a good Republican vid!

  • how much did this cost?the advertisement

  • Great vid. Keep on fighting for Americans Cantor!

  • I distinctly remember Obama saying they have no guaranteed solution but let's not do nothing. He clearly said let's try something together. Little did the world know that the reps were already only intent on positioning themselves to criticize the so called silver bullet he is suppose to have claimed to have. The fact that they smashed the economy with their small government baloney is to now have nothing to do with it. Many of them are now claiming to be independents and we know why don't we.

  • Burton Folsom's book New Deal or Raw Deal is a great book for explaining by government spending failed to turn around the economy during the Great Depression. Business people didn't feel safe investing and hiring until FDR was gone...

  • The "answer" is Reagan-style tax cuts. Worked for Reagan, worked for JFK. Those who keep saying conservative have no solutions are willfully deaf to both what conservatives have been saying and history itself.

Obama is following Roosevelt's New Deal plan which has long since been debunked. WWII is what got us out of the Great Depression, not the New Deal.

  • "The "answer" is Reagan-style tax cuts."

Reagan instituted the highest tax hikes since WWII. It's a common conservative myth that Reagan cut taxes.

"Those who keep saying conservative have no solutions are willfully deaf to both what conservatives have been saying and history itself."

Yes, there is a portion of our society that are quite ignorant to history. They're called history revisionists. Seems you might be in that group.

  • No they didn't. Reagan had to hike some of those taxes back up, according to the internet, because nothing was getting better.

  • @Savior20061

that is right, not only reagan outspent all presidents before him, COMBINED,

he also raised taxes, as did bush

he made the rich richer and the poor poorer

    among other terrible things

  • @ZegatonZ

when reagan cut taxes, just as jfk before him revenue to the federal govmnt INCREASED. when bush cut taxes revenue INCREASED. this is fundemental.

you work for your money and it belongs to you. a "fat cat" works for his money and it belongs to him. the govt does not GIVE anything. in the case of a "tax cut" the govt is merely TAKING LESS. they are not being generous by ALLOWING you to keep more of the money YOU earned.

  • Sorry that the Democrats can't clean up the awful mess they inherited from the Republicans as fast as the Republicans would like . They seem to be saying can't yiou fix the problems we created any faster ?

  • Keep on pointing out the facts!

  • Where wer all of you when Bush boy brought the economy to its knees?

  • Great video exposing the empty promises of the stimulus! Too bad the media doesn't state the facts very often.

And if we passed the FairTax legislation the economy would expand overnight! Americans would keep their paychecks without federal withholding and instead of spending $300,000,000,000 each year figuring out income taxes we'd just pay a simple national sales tax beyond necessities. America would be the best place in the world to set up a business.

Google FairTax and check out the FAQs!

  • Only one Problem with that Fair Tax. It takes almost all the POWER away from the Senate, Congress and most importantly the IRS. Places taxes on everything you buy without the product going up in cost & allows you to keep your entire paycheck.

People won't go for that because they won't get anything back at the end of the year! /s/ The people who don't pay taxes now get rebate checks monthly so no way will they go for that either /more /s/

  • Why do the people who say "no " to everything all of a sudden have the answers. What would have happened with no stimulus?

  • @Kteachums Responsible people have to say no to foolish spending. In answer to your question: No stimulus would mean that much less debt, debt your grandchildren will not have to be repaying. The "stimulus" stimulated the creation of yet more government jobs, bureaucracy & lots of earmark spending. There is zero evidence of cost-effective benefit for all the $ spent, as compared to giving $ directly to taxpayers.

We more people in government who have the courage to say no to foolish spending.

  • If they were responsible they wouldn't have started 2 wars and cut taxes,

  • @Kteachums The Republicans have had plenty of ideas on how to stop the unemployment and get the economy moving. It's just that the Democratic majority has refused to listen to them. We spent nearly a trillion dollars on this stimulus, and if the Republican ideas had been followed, we would be at a much lower unemployment rate and the economy would be gaining momentum.

  • "The Republicans have had plenty of ideas on how to stop the unemployment and get the economy moving."

    Examples?

  • Well, in Bush's 8 years as prez, the number of jobs created was above zero, around 2 million, I believe . . . as in POSITIVE job growth -- and this was someone who libs consider a bad president.

By contrast, Obama has already lost more than 3 million jobs, and this moron is just warming up.

Is it any wonder the country is hurting when you have a dumb community organizer in charge ?

  • We also spent nearly a trillion dollars on Bush's war in Iraq. What did we get for that? - As Colin Powell said: "You break it, you bought it".

By 'breaking' Iraq, Bush bought Americans decades of trouble that we didn't need.

  • im: We didn't get attacked again. They now need inept kids to wage attacks.

  • @im4wur2

Oh yeah, blame Bush. But strangely how the war in Iraq didn't push the deficit to where it is today. Strangely how it didn't push the national debt to where it is today. Strangely how it was the Democrats who did that.

So Bush spent nearly a trillion on that. The effects on the country's budget weren't really bad. You want to blame someone for the downturn? Blame Carter. Blame Clinton. Blame Obama. Politicians meddling in the economy, stupid runts.

  • @higuma75

if the management in control burns the burn and sell the store, the money to rebuilt and buy the store back is not the fault of the new management, but it is the consequences of what the previous mngtm did

were you expecting to rebuilt for free?

burn your house, and rebuilt it foe free, try it

  • @im4wur2 Not a very good analogy. Obama is moving it to Afghanistan.

  • @im4wur2 Why are we still in Iraq? Didn't Obama campaign on ending the war? Since he has been in office for 18 months should we call it Obamas war? Why are we sending troops to Afghanistan instead of "sitting down at the table...?"

  • @dennisburgenstrife

The reason we're in Afganistan is the Government there is planning to put an OIL PIPELINE from Northern Afganistan to the Emerits to join the OIL Cartel. O'bam bam fast as you can wants to get in on it and sending pipeling guards to make it happen is POLITICALLY REWARDING FOR HIM Unfourtinate for us.

  • @im4wur2 You should get your facts straight. One person was responsible for the Iraq war and that was Saddam Hussein.

  • @im4wur2

Gee let's see, in those wars over 75 million people have been freed from dispots replaced with duly elected officals. So freedom for all those people is not worth the money in your hypocritical eyes....Having two countries in the region with fledgling democracies is of no value monetarily to the US – right?? With Egypt, Jordan and Yemen going up in smoke – in your eyes – Afghan and Iraq are not important strategically to the US...just costs too much. What insight you have

  • @vonschteiben The elitists have control because they fund who runs in the government and controls the media. Now if the regular little business guy had that control, everything would change.

The way to do that is to set up a way to communicate that is so competitive that it makes the elitists irrelevant.

Good news. Somebody came up with an idea. Free Satellite TV. Get someone who doesn't care about money to fund it and you have it.

Good news. NASA future is turning to private industry.

  • Liars!

  • I can't understand how the Republicans can show a video since they obviously have offered nothing!

  • Obama and his administration need to lose their jobs too.

  • Very good production... sad not that popular...
