    Customer Reviews:

Just rec'd my brand new Tag today (a day earlier!) and I LOVE it! I've been waiting 2 years to finally buy myself my big girl watch and it was well worth the wait! I did a bunch of research and couldn't find anyone that could beat Amazon's prices as well as match their customer service and warranty!! The watch came as promised with all of ...

  • Tag can't compare to Omega in anyway whatsoever.....

  • Which is better, this or an Omega Seamaster 300M (Quartz)?

  • In this model there isn't ETA-2824, but selita sw200

  • i like this wacthes

  • I have to say i watch a lot of reviews on watches, and yours are BY FAR the best.

How do you obtain the watches you review?? Are they all yours is what i mean?

Oh and this watch is beautiful i bought this about 2 weeks ago and the bracelet is the best ive seen on any luxury timepiece. I own omega, rolex and a patek philippe that was passed down to me and this is the most beautiful bracelet ive ever seen imo.

  • @Joebelove91210 Thanks! Glad you like the reviews. The watches are a mix of ones I pick up on the used market and ones that are on loan from the manufacturer. With the Tag in this video, I bought it from another watch enthusiast as I really liked the way it looked and thought it would make for a cool review. It's awesome that you got one and are enjoying it. Thanks again!

  • I've just bought the WAJ2110, looks the same except the dates on the other side of the crown, is this the only diff?, great watch& review btw.

  • @midcitygym Im not sure what you mean "other side of the crown". The crown is the small nob on the side of the case for setting the time and the date. Is the date on the other side of the dial?

  • @midcitygym I'll clarify, mine has the date at 9 o'clock, yours is at 3.

  • @midcitygym You have different version of Aquaracer. This is 300m water resistant and yours is 500m water resistant with exhibition back case (you can see your movement). And the movement's are the same, calibre 5 (Selita SW200). So it's OK.

  • @MegaKingpin0 Thanks

  • @NGMonocrom

Tag Heuer makes attractively priced, great looking watches but my personal experience is they don't stock replacement parts for older models, mine was 13 years old. Sent my 10 year old Daytona to Rolex in NYC for service, it was repaired ASAP, no B.S. No independent watch maker could locate parts either. Tag Heuer discontinued stocking parts for this watch and I was told the same by independent watch makers. The reason I would never buy another Tag...

  • Great review, great looking watch... One BIG problem, Tag Heuer customer service absolutely stinks. Had a Tag, tried to get it serviced by Tag Heuer... Their response was they no longer make parts for my watch and I should just go ahead and sell it for parts. Listed it on E-Bay, sold right away, because the other guys needed the parts for his watch. I also own a Rolex Daytona and this does not happen at Rolex, you send them your watch, they fix it and send it back like brand new. Period.

  • @jamesesc

TAG actually told you to sell it for parts??

Might have been worth it to take it to an independent watch-maker for servicing. If the watch had sentimental value, it often can be fixed if you're willing to go with aftermarket parts.

  • @NGMonocrom Thanks for the "heads-up" on parts replacement. I am back to looking at the Omega Seamaster. Any other recommendations?

  • @jdh91741

Breitling makes a couple of very nice divers as well.

  • Thank you for an excellent review. I just purchased one and have to say that your review made my decision much more comfortable when comparing it to the rest of the field. Great watch and Great Review!

  • I just bought this watch after looking at a Omega Seamster black face. Wasn't even a close decision! This looks much bolder with the bigger numbers on the bezel and was over a grand cheaper! BOOM!!!!

  • @sirjavier01 - thanks for your comment but it's important to note that this watch uses an automatic movement which is self winding via an oscillating weight which uses the movement of the owners wrist to wind the movement. This is not something we generally reiterate for every video but I do mention the calibre (tag calls it the cal-5, but is technically an ETA 2824 or Sellita sw200). The movement used here, regardless of its name, is automatic but can be hand wound if the owner chooses to do so

  • No mention on how to 'power' the watch, as it does stop ticking if you don't

  • Its understated good looks is a +.

But TAG Heuer uses tiny threads inside the crown which are ridiculously easy to strip. Crown pops out, there goes the water-resistance. Best part is, TAG Heuer doesn't cover the crown under warranty. Fixing the problem is typically a $100 job. Unless you ask TAG Heuer to fix it. In which case they quote a price of $300 for the fix.

As mentioned in the review, the crown isn't easy to grip. So over-tightening is a realistic concern.

  • @NGMonocrom I totally agree. I had several, and had the thread stripping issue.

  • also grand seiko line, citizen campanola, citizen signature, citizen chronomaster, royal orient

  • Also Vacheron Constantin and Zenith

  • Is there a more higher end watch then rolex?

  • @motocross363 Yes, have a look at some of the watches by Jaeger-LeCoultre and Patek Philippe.

  • Great review. What size wrist was this put on?

  • @bdk4599 I have a 7.5 inch wrist.

  • @jamestacey

I was having a hard time deciding on which Tag to get until I saw this video. I just bought this same watch a few days ago, I LOVE it!

Worth every penny! Thanks for the review!

  • @bdk4599 Its a great choice and a beautiful watch. Congrats

  • If you can get over the fact that it is a Swatch after all and that naturally there are similarities with other Swatch watches then you get a real nice timepiece. I have to agree with the reviewer that I find myself more often looking at its dial for the sole purpose of enjoying its clarity and beauty than at any other watch I have including U1, Submariner and Seamaster. However, I think that this particular model is one of the most underrated and unnoticed Tags there is.

  • @submariner123 Tag Heuer is owned by the luxury brand Moët Hennessy - Louis Vuitton. It is Omega (i.e. Seamaster) that is owned by the Swatch Group.

  • Great review.

  • This watch is my first "high end" time piece. Definitely love its looks! I've been comparing this aquaracer's time to the GMT website and it gains only 2 seconds a day! I am really impressed with this Tag Heuer. It could easily qualify as COSC. I made the right decision of buying this watch!

  • I was going to buy an Arctos Black-Wave automatic watch (from Germany), but decided upon a blue Tag Heuer Aquaracer (Calibre 5) instead. Both have ETA-2824 automatic movements but the Tag has greater water resistance. The Tag looks great and sits substantially lower on my wrist. While the Arctos is a few hundred dollars less, I think my Aquaracer is money well spent! I also looked at the Omega Seamaster, but like the look of the bracelet and overall feel of the Aquaracer better.

  • Can u do a review on the casio gw-300 g-shocks

  • I live my Aquaracer!

  • the watch itself I do really like but serious build disadvantages kept me away from buying it such as the flat metal clasp which is inacceptable for modern dive watches. Plus the crown unlike the one of a Longines Hydroconquest doesn't line up straight with the case. In addition to that the movement of the Caliber 5 is only held by a big black plastic holder which is compared to the big metal one of the longines a serious con.

    still a great review

  • @gentsrevs I agree, I think the Longines Hydroquest is built a little better, looks a little better, and is 50% less than this watch. Definitely more bang for the buck.

  • I have a same watch with u but in blue dial (WAN2111) since april/2010.

  • I was pretty close to buying this watch but ended up getting a Sinn U1. This one looks very much like a Seamaster.

  • I love mine :)

  • Great review. Very informative. I was never a fan of TAG, but this watch looks awesome.

  • Nice watch and nice review - well done!

  • Very nice watch !
