I love the way Ibuki is not a typical videogame ninja. Ryu Hayabusa (Ninja Giaden/DOA), Joe Musashi (Shinobi), Guy (Final Fight/SF), Kage (VF) and many others are all so "look how serious and hard I am, see how I stand motionless and have my serious face on, under my serious mask".

Ibuki is light-hearted and fun, which is refreshing in amongst all the po-faced ninjas who populate videogames.

It's called a tanuki or raccoon dog, not a raccoon. It's from the Canidae family, meaning it's closely related to foxes, coyotes, dogs, etc. In Japanese folklore, tanuki are magical and use leaves to shape-shift.
