Can anybody tell which one is the dancing cello player Hugh or Melvyn ?? He is the best ! I like very much this vid watching he playing the cello and dancing jajaja.
This video is just the business, from Hugh giving it some welly, Kelly's smile at 1:21 not forgetting the rest of the band who are just terrific. But Jeff's face at the beginning, Jesus who peed in his pool? :-D
I'm obsessed with ELO, I think Jeff Lynne is a genius but I hate how he denigrates what the band members brought to the mix. Chemistry, Personality, an amazing live show. The songs Lynne wrote are in a league of their own. One of pop music's great songsmiths but you can't ever, ever deny the x-factor like chemistry of a group of the right group of guys playing together. Hugh, Mik, Kelly, Richard, Bev, Melvyn. (and arranger/conducter Louis Clark)
still remember my mother yelling at me "whats that opera s__t youre listening to".. she also disliked Queen...too bad, this was the best rockin music of the 70s and still today.

Bravo to the unsung member of ELO, who entertained fans thirsting for live ELO music long after Jeff Lynne pursued other interests!! Kelly Groucutt performed complex Lynne bass melodies while singing thousands of Lynne lyrics. And Lynne called Groucutt "an employee"!? Bollocks!! Michael "Kelly" is rockin' with the angels now - RIP.
@stinkypants10 i agree! that ELO vocal sound would be non existant without kelly, he was not just an employee but a part of the chemIstry of the late 70s ELO sound even his contribution to Discovery vocaly made those songs shine , God rest his soul....
