Yes superbowl 40 was a very poorly called game, but it wasn't all against the Seahawks, the refs missed calls on both sides of the ball. The seahawks would have lost regardless of how well the game was officiated.

From the little leagues all the way to the pro's coaches yell at the players to get back away from the sideline. There is a clear area where the players shouldn't be. Now pause at 0:25 and notice Fitzgerald in the bottom left. Resume play and watch him.... at 0:29 he runs into one of his own players (Antrel Rolle?). Now if that player is back where he is supposed to be then Fitzgerald wouldn't hit him and he would have probably caught Harrison. It's the little things that make or break games.
I was living in my apartment in Houston, TX at the time, hosting a party with many other Steeler fans. When the Cards were lined up on this snap, we all felt as if two things were going to happen: 1) AZ would score and take the lead into halftime, or 2) they'd fail and kick the FG to tie it up going into the half...either way we were dejected...but when Debo picked this pass off, my apartment erupted in celebration like nothing I've ever experienced....what a game, what a team...Go Steelers!!!!

This happened in the first half the game wasnt decided on this play. the Tyree play had it all, final drive against a 18-0 team. The escape by manning is as impressive as the catch. This play is in the top ten but not #1

Superbowl 40 was a piece of shit game. You can fault the cardnials for losing 43 but not the seahawks for 40 seeing as it was the worst officiated game of all time.
arizona should have won that super bowl. if you watch larry fitzgeraled at 15 seconds in it shows larry fitzgerald running into # 21 antrel rolle. than larry catches up to james harrison. so if you think about it if larry never would have ran into antrel he would have made that tackle way befor harrisons touchdown.
... and to say that David Tyree's catch was was a better 'play' than this one ... not even close. This was WAY more athletic than Tyree's catch ( and that is not to say that Tyree's catch was unathletic because it was ). This was just more special.
Tyrees catch was nice but was almost pure luck. Besides Samuel could have won it for the Pats the play before if he didn't drop an easy interception, also he droped ANOTHER chance to intercept it in the enzone the play before the Giants scored and he DROPED it AGAIN.
How was this play not legit? It was a 100 yard interception return for a TD. There was a booth challenge on the play but the call on the field stood. Get your facts straight, dude.

From the little leagues all the way to the pro's coaches yell at the players to get back away from the sideline. There is a clear area where the players shouldn't be. Now pause at 0:25 and notice Fitzgerald in the bottom left. Resume play and watch him.... at 0:29 he runs into one of his own players (Antrel Rolle?). Now if that player is back where he is supposed to be then Fitzgerald wouldn't hit him and he would have probably caught Harrison. It's the little things that make or break games.

I was living in my apartment in Houston, TX at the time, hosting a party with many other Steeler fans. When the Cards were lined up on this snap, we all felt as if two things were going to happen: 1) AZ would score and take the lead into halftime, or 2) they'd fail and kick the FG to tie it up going into the half...either way we were dejected...but when Debo picked this pass off, my apartment erupted in celebration like nothing I've ever experienced....what a game, what a team...Go Steelers!!!!

This happened in the first half the game wasnt decided on this play. the Tyree play had it all, final drive against a 18-0 team. The escape by manning is as impressive as the catch. This play is in the top ten but not #1

yea as a pats fan having to live through that drive was the worst for any team, and that play just topped off my misery and crush my hopes. it was THE play that confirmed the giants were champs. props to manning (even thou thats the only thing he ever did in his life) and tyree for that play, def deserves to be #1 in decade and possibly, POSSIBLY in history, just because of the significance and the situation.

arizona should have won that super bowl. if you watch larry fitzgeraled at 15 seconds in it shows larry fitzgerald running into # 21 antrel rolle. than larry catches up to james harrison. so if you think about it if larry never would have ran into antrel he would have made that tackle way befor harrisons touchdown.

Tyrees catch was nice but was almost pure luck. Besides Samuel could have won it for the Pats the play before if he didn't drop an easy interception, also he droped ANOTHER chance to intercept it in the enzone the play before the Giants scored and he DROPED it AGAIN.

as far as this one, i was rooting for the Cardinals because they had done basically wat the giants had done the year before up until 2 minutes left of the game and as a Pats fan i admire wat the giants did and i wanted to see the Cards do it, Warner had done everything to win that SB like brady had done, then came the defensive meltdown, santonio shredded the D that whole drive...i was pissed, but it was still an epic game!

My stepdad went bitching at the TV after that play, he had a little bet with one of his co-workers on who would win, and as it would turn out for him, that play would prove to be just the appetizer for what would be the main course, the GW drive for the Steelers that would cost him $25! He had me laughing the whole time. =) All in all, incredible play, for a great Super Bowl!
