"today's talentless crap" christie? not fair. there were a couple of great songs from the the, but other than that they are not so great. this is the day and uncertain smile are good songs. their best album was soul mining, which was made shortly after columbus crossed the ocean to find america (long time ago). don't get me wrong i like the the, but you can't say nobody else has any talent. what about pearl jam? pearl jam came and went after the the faded. there are other good bands.

I totally agree. I love telling people that I love THe The and have them ask me "WHO?". Besides the M&M's commercial, I have never heard anything by The The on the radio. I think during the 80's, I MIGHT have heard "Infected" somewhere, but thats about it. His music is still timeless....Soul Mining is on my list of the 10 best albums EVER recorded. Every song on it is a classic....
