Thanks for posting this! I really love this song. There's a magic in it through the lyrics and the warm, slow-burning guitar solos that will make you feel like you're in 'remotely' beautiful places in your dream, away from anything. It has a dream-like nuance that arouses you in a beautiful but deep loneliness ... Crying guitar indeed ... Listen to the crying guitar ...
Don't get me wrong, and this ISN'T a criticism (Gary was my favourite guitarist ever!!), but hasn't this track got tons of "Still Got The Blues" in it... Just a thought... R.I.P Gary - sleep well my friend.
@eloo41 "and i think u say it better than Still got the blues cose u were listen this 1 milion times and this is maybe fresher :P"
No. I think, the lead guitar melody is better. I love "Still Got The Blues", too, I heard "Picture Of The Moon", first, in 2001. "Still Got The Blues" is fresher for me, than this song. Anyway, my favourite Gary Moore album is "Dark Days In Paradise" from 1997.
today i picked up my guitar an for one more time i started improvising on still got the blues. at some point i reached the melodies of the picture of the moon. big surprise 2 hour later i read this comment of yours, so i m totally with you. this is not critic of yours. Gary had a particular playing that is repeated in almost every songs (especially in the blues era). all these licks He heard from Jimi, Peter Green, Collins etc developed in His own Moorish style. cheers.
You watch him play, and you can see how deeply he felt his music

Believe me getting your hands on some of these CDs is not easy, but so I've found 5...for playing in my car.
I've got many pieces from iTunes......so my computer is loaded up too., I've just discovered his music, and my heart has been captured.
RIP Mr. Moore ..... your music will play on.

@MrDavey1450 Similar, but in Still Got the Blues the guitar is sad; in Picture of the Moon his guitar is crying. Both beautiful songs I think.

Nothing but to agree ... Deeply, all the time ... I still can't believe he had passed away ... I'm so sad ...
