There is now a substantive & growing body of research that clearly demonstrates that the application of educational strategies based on applied behavior analytic learning principles can result in significant learning outcomes for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. There are now over 600 articles published in peer reviewed journals that demonstrate the efficacy of applied behavior analytic teaching strategies for children with autism spectrum disorders.
Parents should know ABA & the forms that are useful for autism: Discrete Trial Training, Natural Language Paradigm, Pivotal Response Training, & Functional Communication Training (DTT, NLP, PRT, & FCT).
