To all you wise guys... when it comes to certain missions, a Delta team will work with SEALS, SAS, and Air Force Special Forces. Just depends on the mission but there are certain instances when all of them will work together. I guarantee when we killed Bin Laden, the team consisted of all of these men. Read Kill Bin Laden by Dalton Fury. He gives some decent perspective of how Delta Operates.

DEVGRU and Delta Force are the same. The DEVGRU is apart of US Navy. US Navy need a special force that could performed at Delta Force so they created DEVGRU aka Seal Team 6.

@csakal18 1. Don't career advice from YouTube head over to some special operations forums post NOTHING but an intro as required and READ everything. 2. Decide based on your own personality and interests what type of work you want to be doing if you pass selection that's what I did to pick my SOF contract. Do you want to work with indigenous soldiers? or do you want to kick in doors all the time? Dive? CSAR?

@casf120 Well apparently (from what I've heard) no actual operators appear in the video. They are all people who are trying out for Delta, not actual operators. The video it self was a promotion video that was made years ago (just look at the quality) and then leaked. So no one's identity was compromised I guess. There's another video on here titled "delta force room clearing" in which the narrator claims the men are delta ops, but there faces aren't blurred.

It's an old video that was shown to candidates right before selection so they know what is waiting for them should they pass, sort of a motivational thing. Ranger School damn near killed me. I was one of the "weak & faint-hearted" who managed to slip by. After that I used to go to the mandatory Delta Force recruitment briefings, and I was like "oh HELL no!" I'm retired to Fort Livingroom now. My hat's off to these guys. As a veteran of the U. S. Army let me just say that Delta Force is SUPER. So is DEVGRU but as a former Army guy I prefer Delta. Wish I could have been in an elite unit like this.
There's probably about 95% overlap between Delta Force and DEVGRU in terms of skill level and capability (counterterrorism and hostage rescue). DEVGRU is better trained for maritime operations while Delta Force is better at land operations. Delta probably has the best land navigators in the military.
I've had the privelege of serving beside Delta Forces in Somalia as a Ranger. I have to admit they are probably the best soldiers I have fought beside. Their training was superb, even superior to our Ranger training, and we were already considered Special Forces.
I don't care which SF group you're in...if you're in the special forces you're pretty badass.

@Rangerleadtheway44 Amen. Call of Duty is a GAME, an interactive equivalent of a Jerry Bruckheimer-style action thriller. It is a fun game and I'm sure they brought in some consultants from the armed services, but anyone who thinks they are going to learn anything about real life from it is quite frankly, a moron. The plot was also ridiculous on too many levels to count.

@csakal18 1. Don't career advice from YouTube head over to some special operations forums post NOTHING but an intro as required and READ everything. 2. Decide based on your own personality and interests what type of work you want to be doing if you pass selection that's what I did to pick my SOF contract. Do you want to work with indigenous soldiers? or do you want to kick in doors all the time? Dive? CSAR?

@casf120 Well apparently (from what I've heard) no actual operators appear in the video. They are all people who are trying out for Delta, not actual operators. The video it self was a promotion video that was made years ago (just look at the quality) and then leaked. So no one's identity was compromised I guess. There's another video on here titled "delta force room clearing" in which the narrator claims the men are delta ops, but there faces aren't blurred.

It's an old video that was shown to candidates right before selection so they know what is waiting for them should they pass, sort of a motivational thing. The video is so old however that it's irrelevant.

Delta is very secretive, they could be saving us from some kind of terror attack right now and we won't know about it for another fifty years. In their work, I'm sure Delta makes a lot of enemies, that's why they blur the faces, it's for protection and privacy. Hopefully that wasn't too "gay" of an explanation for you.

Ranger School damn near killed me. I was one of the "weak & faint-hearted" who managed to slip by. After that I used to go to the mandatory Delta Force recruitment briefings, and I was like "oh HELL no!" I'm retired to Fort Livingroom now. My hat's off to these guys. There's probably about 95% overlap between Delta Force and DEVGRU in terms of skill level and capability (counterterrorism and hostage rescue). DEVGRU is better trained for maritime operations while Delta Force is better at land operations. Delta probably has the best land navigators in the military.

I've had the privelege of serving beside Delta Forces in Somalia as a Ranger. I have to admit they are probably the best soldiers I have fought beside. Their training was superb, even superior to our Ranger training, and we were already considered Special Forces.
