Aspiring young drum and bass producers don't be fooled. Robyn Chaos and Dylan blatantly don't make any money from their music, no matter how good it is. I reckon they both get funded by their families in some way. That sucks.

Andy C's rate card was about £2k 3 years ago (when we last booked him for one of our nights) but we didn't pay anywhere near that. Also, it was done through his agency so he would have had to pay tax on it. So he would have ended up with less than a grand. I could go on all day giving more examples. Old skool drum and bass djs like Andy C, Roni etc. all rely massively on naive youngsters who are willing to blow a shit load of cash (because it usually isn't theirs)putting nights on that inevitably flop.We always funded our nights with £ from our main business but I witnessed many others doing this. Plus, most big DnB dj's don't even own a house.
