So the text means this: When our consciousness finally awakes, we shall see that only God / Reality / Spirit exists.

We shall see that nothing we experienced in this world, existed and therefore could not threaten the Real world

Knowing this while we are sleep walking through this life is where real peace lies.

When we dream, the images we see appear 100% real at that time but when we wake, we realize the images were simply hallucinations.

In the awake state, we realize that nothing that happened in the dream had any effect upon the real world because our dreams didnt exist.
