It was my first memory of reacting physically and involuntarily to music. When I saw DPS for the first time (in English class, of course) a few months later obviously I recognized the words. I actually screamed and almost got kicked out of class. I instantly fell in love with Neil. It's five years later and, if anything, I love him more now.

Well I guess I disagree. People are only allowed to express their opinion if it's positive or follows a certain party line? What's the point of that? Most people you meet in life will be able to tell you the things they like, but very few can truely tell you WHY. and it's the why that matters, not the things.
Ebert's not? Who is better? Maltin? Kael? Denby? Rosenbaum? Why is Ebert's take invalid? Because he is off sometimes, at least I think so. But it doesn't mean I dismiss him without first reading the guy. Give his review a read and tell me the points where you disagree. I did say this film sucks, but I'll listen to a real response about WHY this film is good. And personal nostalgia doesn't count as a reason (i.e. 'i saw this in my 8th grade english class').
