I have a ob tampon in my survival kit it's a brilent idea for tinder and whatever else u would beef and there is a lot of it plus there is a small amount of string of push come to shove.
to the posters below: you don't drink out of a condom, you use it to carry water from point a to point b, they are light, strong and extremely effective in carrying water. they are probably one of the most commonly used survival items.. please do your research. putting one in a sock aids in the structural integrity of the condom
maybe the tin can be made to look like a mess tin so that the user (trying to boil water) won't scald his/herself when boiling the water. The condom is not very feasible as just imagine drinking lubricant and water, unless you are used to it...
if you are drinking water out of a condom you are a fucking dip shit fag and you deserve to die. so get a extra long condom so you can hang yourself. Brits are so fucking dumb some times. Cherio mate, fancy a sip of me condom in my dirty sock? no? suit yourself mate, mmmm taste good. survival at its finest. FUCKING GAY!
@DCracing07 you're only gonna use that kit in an emergency... so if your desperate enough to use that kit, you're probably desperate enough to drink from the condom
oh no verry well agreed with superglue it is an irritant but is ok in survival situaitions....and for a little bit my stepdad had no health insurance and needed stitches but used a tube of super glue...it works verry well
In a survival situation, what would you do if you had a friend or partner with you ? Would you leave the person to save yourself ? Would you even consider killing a person if you were to survive ?
@urkingod dont have to if u prepare get organic heirloom food seed far and wide, its called"johnny appleseed economics"or"gorrila gardens",spread more organic food. wake up everyone,do your part!IF YOU ARE angry, get seed and make a organic revolution your way.SPREAD THE ORGANIC SEED EVERYWHERE TELL OTHERS! I would add 4 aspirin or Tylenol and 4 cold and allergy pills. Just those simple medications can give enough temporary relief to help you through a tough time. They won't add weight or take any more room but they can make all the difference in you being able to perform well under stress.
You should watch my 3 part video series on the 5 C's of survival...a new way of thinking about the basic survival needs broke down into some vey simple concepts.
Ive tryed to use super glue to fix a torn ear witch was app. 1/4 inch deep tear it will only hold for apx. 48 hours befor the oil in your skin breaks apart to glue. any thing longer will need stiches. but you can handle that if you have even a miner sowing kit. but it workes great for miner things like small cuts and lasarations. sorry about the spelling ive been drinking a little bit of jack. but good vid. kudos
pretty complete tin, and I like the way that it clamps down. I would however add one small thing to your kit that I think is worth its weight in gold. I would add a piece of tinfoil ( the thicker BBQ kind). I have a piece in my tin and I use it to put inside the tin to make a tall "pot" when boiling water, that way i can boil a liter of water instead of just 100ml or so. Anyways good tin, and my addition is only a suggestion...not criticizing you.
@rockyroeba please inform me how i would get ill? only stupidity will get you ill,
eg. drinking non sterile water, not cooking food properly etc...
And yes you could loose these items if; 1) you were clumsy 2)you dont look after kit very well. Survival kits are meant to be small and lightweight, do not confuse with BOB Bags and such like items.
Regurading the super glue... I was stabed in the head once and superglue is exactly what the doc used to seal me up...It's now several years later and I have experianced no ill effects...Krazy glue works very well also.
Hey GREAT kit LOVE IT!!! I am really interested where I can buy one of those tins... I live in the U.S. so I don't know if that makes any difference???
These skills and tools will come in handy when the degenerate Western democracies are invaded by a coalition of Islamic states, Russia, China and the tin-pot leftie countries(i,e, Venezuela). The horrors of the latter stages of WWII were nothing compared to what's going to happen during WWIII...and as usual the Jews will bear the brunt of it(not that they haven't helped bring it on by 70+ years of appeasement in the face of genocidal arab vermin).
Where do you backpack/camp at? All the local parks and such around me have a bunch of rules about camping only on campgrounds and not cutting timber and straying off the trails.
great kit, its good to see that its compact enough to have on your person at all times, I see so many that are too big and bulky and guaranteed you would take it off of your person at some stage which could be life threatening not having it on you.
make sure the superglue is 'cyanoacrylate', that is the chemical that was deemed safe in terms of toxicity.
there is another one with slightly higher toxicity levels (though still well inside the safe zone) but has slightly lower chance of allergic reactions.
i live in the U.S. n i have to ask where u found this stock kit before u edited it. its not much bigger than an altoids tin we use here but we cant cook out of those cause theres a chemical on the aluminum that acts like a poision if u heat it.
where did you buy that kit from or did you make it? my kit is in a hikers backpack. and is also my zombie survival kit. i didn't show my blades in the video i did buy i will make one on the ones i can fit into my kit and the ones that fit on my belt
Confirmed super glue can be used to close a skin wound. Went to a doctors office and instead of stitching, he pulled super glue from a desk to close the wound. No infection resulted.
you said the matches were out of a "US Military MRE". This is not the case. The company that makes MRE's for the military does not sell or provide their MRE's to the civilian market. it was likely from a MRE manufactured by a civilian company.
Besides, the matches out of a US military MRE have writing on the front of the cover, and the cover is OD Green, not hunter green as shown in your video.
@Socki2ya I can tell you that it was from a military ration MRE and that not all the same contents and companys are used. These MRE's were from swaps i did on tour from OP Iraqi Freedom so i think i might know this first hand some how!
Great kit! Just one mention, if I may: the button light. I love those! BUT, if you pack it wrong and something presses against it when the tin is closed, you will eat up the entire 8-12 hours battery life in one go... all before you ever even open the tin for a 2nd time. They are great, just be careful of that one flaw.
I bought something like that at Cabellas lol! Mine wasn't quite as nice though, it came in a tin though, the kind you get oysters in. Didn't come with a knife, it was a bit cheaper as I said though..
i might hunt one of these down , i think i saw one the other day but didnt give it a second look , the word ultimate normally means crud in most cases,
even though im an american i live in north american and my bcb ultimate survival kit UK version just came in the mail today and i was wondering if there is anything i should know about trying out bushcraft?
What do you think of FEMA / RED Cross information and their Bail Out Bag kit that sells which includes all the basic needs to last 72 hours ? Perhaps you can buy this $35 with everything in it, and modify them from there IF needed... ?
So what is the best survival kits/items on the air plane?? if you cant carry your own survival kit on airplane what will you do if you are in some emergency moments?
I suggest TSA friendly survival items can be Whistle , Signal Mirror , Fire steel and a good realiable flashlight something like Fenix ( AA batteries) and basic first aid kit including Burn gel ?? what you think? Can you give me some suggestion pls?
Think of it more as an emergency survival kit i.e a kit to be carried on your body 100% of the time. It is supposed to be small and compact so that you won't be tempted to remove it from your body at any time. Then if for some reason you become seperated from your main kit you will ALWAYS have the basic means to meet your immediate requirements over a short-term period and if necessary to signal for help.
Just one suggestion: if you cut yourself, then you have to put everything out of the tin to get the plaster, propably with one hand (the other is bleeding).
One suggestion: If you put that box in a little, light-weight, somewhat tight fitting, nylon pouch you can drop all the content in it while using the box for cooking. It will also slide easier into your bag and with the draw-cord you can hang it on your belt if needed.
Wanna learn how to survive. Get the free board game BUGOUT! survival, at printgame . com, Spread the word, your friends will thank you. Click GAMES > then scroll down and click BUGOUT!. You'll thank me later.
I bought the US aircrew version of this kit and was disapointed that it didn't have that nice purifying straw. My katadyn water tabs say they take 4 hours and my Potable aqua take 30 minutes. The straw would be nice for some quick sips. I forgot to read the instructions on the water tabs that came with the kit, probly around the same times. Boiling doesn't take long 3-6 minutes but sometimes I may feel lazy... hum I think a rambled a bit
hey dude kudos on the vidoe and this is the video that first got me interested in survival and stuff and it's good to seee a fellow british person doing a vid
Sorry, but there's nothing "ultimate" about this kit. It's a quick/emergency kit at best and definitely not something I'd take for a more than a day or two trip.
This is good stuff, but I think our greatest threat will come from the tyrants of the world, their police and military forces. I know many of you are rendered defenseless (no guns) but brutality and weapons are seriously lacking here. We can have the best gear etc, but if you don't have a weapon to protect/fight those who will be hunting you for one reason or the other...we are just kidding ourselves. The elite of the world are moving fast towards the NWO..One World Tyranical Government
Too many Americans are ignorant about survival skills, it would never cross their mind to assemble their kit or purchase a nice one like that one you shown in your video. We are totally reliant on first responders and our government. One just has to look at Katrina. If survival skills were apart of public education it would save countless lives and wouldn't hurt if hi quality kit were available at your local corner drug store.
i agree with u sooooooo much most amaricans are way to reliant on the gov. i just freaking writ an english editorial on disaster prepardness and incorperated your same conclusion about katrina , EXACTLY THE SAME, and i am just reading this no joke
I have a ob tampon in my survival kit it's a brilent idea for tinder and whatever else u would beef and there is a lot of it plus there is a small amount of string of push come to shove.

A word of caution though mate, tampons should NEVER be inserted into wounds, this can lead to ischaemia and might have fatal consequences.

Don't listen to the naysayers regarding the superglue. It's been used for skin closure for years by the medical professionals.
achtungcircus 2 years ago
@achtungcircus
I'd try and obtain medical grade super glue if possible though, they used it with me at the doctors once, its a purple color.

Tampons & Condoms.... where's the Lube? lol

One suggestion: If you put that box in a little, light-weight, somewhat tight fitting, nylon pouch you can drop all the content in it while using the box for cooking. It will also slide easier into your bag and with the draw-cord you can hang it on your belt if needed.

Nice little kit but not needed in the UK really, rescue will come before you die of thirst of starve to death.
rikuk3 2 years ago
@rikuk3 what about those rly deep forests where ppl find cave paintings?
thehunty 2 years ago
I feel like you are dismissing kit that could stop you getting into a survival situation.
Anything you are taking part in (sport etc) you should know the risks of and be able to get yourself out of it.
So for a person hiking in wild country the ability to get a fire lit and stay warm is essential.
Puritabs are always good for refilling a water bottle from a stream.
the list goes on...
relying on some one else to rescue you can let you down... hope this is a thinking point for all...

Boiling doesn't take long 3-6 minutes but sometimes I may feel lazy... hum I think a rambled a bit
bwinterb 2 years ago 2
How did you find the build quality of the kit (rolling clasps etc..)?
pervisirani 2 years ago
you can add paper to it so you can make a map of your surondings

Awesome kit... when i first seen you pull out that condom is was thinking OMG yes true you dont want babies
i would diffidently try a put some nail clippers in that kit that would polish it off nicely.
MrGridStrom 2 years ago
i think he put the condom in there to hold water but i guess if u were with a partner, safe sex is a must in a survival situation...
Darkarch87 2 years ago
THIS IS GOOD
Only needs a space blanket thingy.
agun17 2 years ago 3
does the water straw only carbon or what micron is the filter. I like the straw size.
the tin is a really nice size and really useful.
did you try the signal mirror, does it work well? I would add a small roll or dental floss for tie string, or strong polyester thread.
nice kit. thanks

Great Vid.
RECOIL64 2 years ago 10
i agree with u sooooooo much most amaricans are way to reliant on the gov. i just freaking writ an english editorial on disaster prepardness and incorperated your same conclusion about katrina , EXACTLY THE SAME, and i am just reading this no joke
