  • sounds tastefull

  • Hey Niels,

Diggin the Canopus! I'm thinking of picking up an Neo-Vintage M1 kit. Yours a RFM? Also what camera are you using to record, nice quality. This kid has talent(using 'kid' is funny because he is probably the same age as me), damn.

  • @mickdrummer15 The bass drum and toms are a Canopus "Club Kit." The snare drum was made to match by a small company called Drum Solo, locally. Yeah, Alvin is sounding good! Thanks for watching.

  • @mickdrummer15 The camera is a Canon Rebel T3i.

  • @nielsmyrner Thanks, I might save up for one of those. Among the many items on the never ending wishlist.

  • Watched this again and am so happy to see a young person into jazz and to be so technically advanced already. Hope him the best with his career and he is sooooo lucky to study with Erskine!

  • @dtdrummerlady Yeah he is :( live here in Canada and it is hard to find teachers who are jazz legends. I'd be so glad if I had the chance to be taught by one.

  • @dtdrummerlady ...not to mention he's humble and respectful. He's got it!

  • Love everything about this.....drums sound fantastic along with your technique! Love both your rides.........what are they? Your snare ghost noting is really good.

  • @dtdrummerlady Alvin is playing a 22" K Constantinople Light Ride on the right and a 20" K Constantinople Light Ride on the left. Both came from R.B. at A Drummer's Tradition in San Rafael, CA. Thanks!
