Diggin the Canopus! I'm thinking of picking up an Neo-Vintage M1 kit. Yours a RFM? Also what camera are you using to record, nice quality. This kid has talent(using 'kid' is funny because he is probably the same age as me), damn.
@mickdrummer15 The bass drum and toms are a Canopus "Club Kit." The snare drum was made to match by a small company called Drum Solo, locally. Yeah, Alvin is sounding good! Thanks for watching.
Watched this again and am so happy to see a young person into jazz and to be so technically advanced already. Hope him the best with his career and he is sooooo lucky to study with Erskine!
@dtdrummerlady Yeah he is :( live here in Canada and it is hard to find teachers who are jazz legends. I'd be so glad if I had the chance to be taught by one.
Love everything about this.....drums sound fantastic along with your technique! Love both your rides.........what are they? Your snare ghost noting is really good.
@dtdrummerlady Alvin is playing a 22" K Constantinople Light Ride on the right and a 20" K Constantinople Light Ride on the left. Both came from R.B. at A Drummer's Tradition in San Rafael, CA. Thanks!
sounds tastefull
