*phew* What a great performance! It's such a fun piece to listen to (and probably play, but I wouldn't know :-P).
I will, however, say that I really really enjoy the regular ending. As @dmtdekker noted, the previous notes in the ending are fantastically brilliant. The final "trite" ending of a simple chord is appropriate almost as a joke. You've been listening to an epic set of measures, and then BOOM. It's over, lol. It lets you realize your heart was pounding.
Bravo, I been working on this piece for a year and only have about 70% of that speed and plenty of mistakes...its not an easy one, Cortot would have smiled at that ending...with one raised eyebrow maybe. It's nice when artist's changes give us other variations ..purists take note.
I think it was very good performed. To play this like that it is just proffessional. Ok, the ending isn`t the original, but I think this ending is also awesome! ;-)
Don't mess with the original. Weber knew what he was doing. Otherwise, a fantastic performance by a very competent pianist. Some rushing, but that also made it exciting!
He told me he was inspired by Brahms' finale, a rising arpeggio, in his transcription. As his student, I thought it was a brilliant ending, and a good option.
I think I have to regard myself as a purist, but I think Webers original ending was not very original compared to the brilliant proceeding notes. This one is in my opinion a very good alternative.
@paganopianoproject I believe the ending played in the video is modified from the original. Is this correct? And Would anyone like to tell me how it is changed?
Impossível não admirar esse pianista, ele é genial em todas as suas leituras e também é um professor estupendo.

Tolle Interpretation - schade, dass diese Sonate so selten öffentlich aufgeführt wird.
