  • That's a beautiful tribute to the great Michel Petrucciani. Seems he was born to play the piano, and it is a great loss that he wasn't blessed with a longer life. I sometimes wonder if anyone coaxed a soul out of the piano as he did. And, what a real man of jazz! Thanks for sharing this.

  • I am overwhelmed with both joy and sadness. Guillermo

  • Petrucciani pour toujours!!!

  • DIOS LO TIENE AL LADO DEL

  • Dios te bendiga Michel ...

  • That tribute is a masterpiece in every aspect of it. Petrucciani is one of the rare beings that still lives after his death.

  • ...sentimientos de amor y esperanza... Grande Petrucciani

  • 'Lullaby', is a gem of a song. I'd love to see some footage of him, or someone, playing it. 'Looking Up' is top of the town, too. Life never ceases to amaze. RIP Michel P.

  • Please, can someone indicate me the title(degree) of the topic or song to the beginning of the video and to the album to which it(he,she) belongs(concerns)?

  • Lots of cover versions of "Looking Up", yet nothing like Michel's classic !

    RIP Michel

  • The song in the scene with the helicopter is called "Looking Up". One of my favorites of his. His solo on that tune is a 150 second Master Class in jazz improv, IMO.

  • me too i hate to say goodbye michel. rest in peace

  • I dont know what or where heaven is... but I do know michel is on the house band.

  • @bm5750 I second that motion....

  • @bm5750 Your greatness makes us stronger, your sound inspires us. Live forever in our souls. Rest in peace michelle.

  • Wow!

  • he was french and he didnt have a french accent when he spoke english.

  • I don't think Petrucciani was homosexual. He had a wife and a son as well. Anyway, do you now the title of the track he's playing in the really last scene? When the helicopter is moving around him.

  • its the same track all over again.. Looking Up its called.. I even have the sheetmusic.. its just magical music

  • looking up

  • Comment removed

  • Is Michel Petrucciani homosexual?

  • eww no man. straight man. He had his wife and kid

  • From the 2008 Dreyfus Records DVD, "Non-Stop Travels / Trio Live In Stuttgart". The documentary portion (Non-Stop Travels) was filmed in Paris, New York and California and wonderfully directed by Roger Willemsen. Petrucciani plays the final tune, "Looking Up," on top of a skyscraper. As he plays, the camera takes in aerial shots of the pre-9/11 New York City skyline. If you love Manhattan as much as I do, you can't help but be moved by this masterpiece........

  • Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful....

    It really moves you...

Thanks to everybody involved, and thanks Michel!! This Music will live forever...
