  • wtf

  • viva congo

  • its a good video, but i have a slight problem with the stat that 11 000 children are with armed groups, 40% of which are girls. I understand that women are at a high risk of rape, but that is not made obvious when that stat is told, and it still means that 60% are boys, and they probably are not getting off scot free.

other then that i found this video very good and am happy to be finding out that there are organizations out there that care for the people, not just the government, like the IMF.

  • western countries are the reason so much shit is happening in africa and iraq and other eastern countried they think their needs and resources and whatever are most important.

Zinc is found in congo and who digs it out? children for $2 and the faggots in canada just found out now but their making billions and congo my home country dont know that this Zinc can make the country more wealthy they get tricked into giving ti away for little price.

  • Lasse-fairez capitalism for the way. No, I'm serious.

  • what?

  • Its very sad because I was born in Mbuji Mayi, DRC

  • What the foreign reporters need to do is bring to light the fact that western countries play a direct role in conflicts that happen in most African countries. Natural resources from this countries that are bouhgt for less to nothing help fund and support rebel groups and corrupt leaders. The sad truth is that western nations dont care about Africa except for its resources. Africans need to wake up and realise that their destiny is in their own hands. mizizi dot net

  • China is sucking up vast amount of African natural resources and even supplies weapons so the killing can continue but Africans never complain about China or Russian weapons used.......

  • It's easier to blame the west, and some goddamn ignorant idiots in the west can scream at us, saying that it's all our fault, seeing as they same can't be done in China or Russia, or you'l end up dead.

  • True..v_v

  • Thank you for doing this work. We too are working to help war refugees and sponsor peace education.

  • Where is the mention of all of the American plantations that are located in the Congo? Or that US corporations are funding both soldiers and militias. As well as the fact that US allies, Uganda and Rwanda, invaded the Congo in 1998. Also, the US overthrew democracy in the Congo in 1961 by assassinating Patrice Lumumba, then supported dictator Mobutu for 30 years.

  • How about the Russian and Chinese weapons? Nobody ever complains about Russia and China suppplying weapons to kill Africas. Always blame the U.S. and wonder why Americans do not want to help Africa anymore........

    remember "blackhawk down"

  • For more information about Eastern Congo and the conflict there check out PulitzerCenter. Find out how the battery in your cellphone played into the conflict's motivations.

  • This is very exciting - that there is progress in an area who's trademark is armed conflict. I can't help but feel great respect for the work of FEWER and wish them well. I will certainly be including them in my (small) list of groups I'll support with my dollars.

  • these organizations keep track and get paid doing what?assessing what?they know where the conflicts come from and over and over they never mention the truth.if the u.s. would just pay for what they take the people would not be pitted against each other while someone is robbing them. sad. and people in america are so happy to act as though they live in a matrix.and think that people just wake up one day and m16 fall from the sky and they just start shooting each other.wake up and be acctable.

  • Very informative video about a very complex situation. With a roster of candidates as long as the one featured in the film it is hard to imagine how change is possible, but very encouraging that there are people working to help decipher the possibilities.

  • It's not complex. It's common gorilla life.

  • yeah like iraq

  • Why not stop that terror.

  • indeed
