i was told this story by my rotc instructor.I was told that the seal team was seen by a sheep herder and had the choice to kill him or let him go.The team leader decided to let him go.30mins to an hour later Taliban surround them and they were taking small arms fire. When the LT. called in for extraction he was shot multiple times, but the call went through.A variety of Green beret, seals, rangers, and Marsoc volunteered to go .The chopper they rode on was shot down and all were killed. They sent
@ChrisCole36 in a 2nd chopper, which was shot down again. They soon realized that sending in more choppers would increase the kia number. So they sent 150 ground troops i believe to rescue the only survivor...To me, all services members are hero's. no matter what they do. But God bless the men who risked there life everyday for our freedom. R.I.P seals, rangers, green beret, marsoc, army, marines, navy and air force
@GodH8S Who the hell do you think you are calling these men fags?..................what are you?...Nothing! What do you stand for?...Nothing!............Stop pa luting life by being you.......go be yourself by yourself!!!!!!!!
Those are REAL men! While we sit at home watching TV and laughing with our loved ones. How many people truly know the price that these men and women pay to let us do what we do everyday. We should all take a second out of our day to thank them! SO...THANK YOU!!!!
I remember reading about this when it happened. When Marcus Luttrell was still missing. I was constantly checking the news for updates. I think anyone feeling sorry for themselves, or need some extra motivation should read Lone Survivor and anything else on Operation Red Wing.
Man cool vid!!! I'm a former green beret and I appreciate your faithfulness. Just a suggestion if I may be so bold....leave the text comments up for about 4 seconds or an hour longer....let what you say sink in to the readers mind....most have no concept....believe me the thought your communicating is way deep...really fuckin deep....this ain't a music video some jackwad is checkin out while in the drive thru at Mickey D's...it's a hell of a tribute....God bless and Thank you again.
@rollydodie Medal of Honor was based on Operation Anaconda. You should read up on it because it is amazing what they SEALs, one in particular, went through.
@jorge12app I would say that the taliban were pretty much owned. The 4 SEALs killed over 100 of them despite being completely surrounded and having multiple gunshot wounds. One example, Matt Axelson had multiple gunshot wounds to his torso, his thumb was blown off and he got shot in the head which blinded him, but he kept fighting to the end.
@TheGreatGizzo First I want to say that one great tribute, and that just shows how determined and brave all those great warriors were that tragic day. My heart goes out to the fallen and their families, may they never be forgotten.
