Was invited to see this new band, Sugarcubes, at Toad's Place, New Haven (pretty sure it was their first US tour)...managed to hear the single, Birthday, once, the day of the show...intrigued, but no real understanding of the group...got to venue and moved to the very front, just before Bjork stepped up on stage, right in front of me...spent the night in awe, utterly devastated...

this brings me fond memories of my teenies, i adooored the sugarcubes and life's too good. watching their jonasson videos again i realise how good they were, bands like this nowadays are almost impossible to find...record companies prefer pre-fabricated products.
