  • The world must learn from Japan's experience. Japan today is storing about 40 years worth of spent fuel, which contains plutonium, in different parts of the country which will condemn the place into more or less a dead zone. Radioactive sushi, anyone?

  • It may be the future of the systems will be about reclaiming resources from our waste land. Picking through garbage to obtain metals that are becoming rarer and rarer.

How will this effect the nuclear industry? what if you could design a system to reuse spent fuel with lower but acceptable results. It would take a pretty good sterling engine and a northern climate but there is a glimmer of hope for our current silliness.

  • Nicole's discussion of net energy is decades ahead of the mainstream media. We in Australia are looking forward to her speaking tour here in February 2012.
