  • It's probably been answered a million times already, but what causes the black exhaust to "suck" down through the launcher platform?

    It is answered really well in this video: /watch?v=eD2zuVmKbOg

  • EVERY engine works on this principle: the more air and fuel you can burn in a certain time, the more power.

  • Gooder than ever !

  • decent bass on the soundtrack

  • Possibly the most amazing thing ever built by human hands.

  • Agreed WG

  • I think it is Large Hadron Collider as this will better able us to understand the universe. You Know the Star Trek stuff

  • When are the astronauts feeling 6 -G's . It seems that in the begining the accelaration isn't that intense.

  • F=ma.

    Thrust = m X g

    or

    g = T/m.

    Thrust is essentially constant.

    Highest g is at minimum mass. That's late in the flight when the tanks are almost empty. The goal of designing a lauch vehicle to to reduce the mass of the unsable (aka structure, etc.) relative to the loaded propellant. perfect vehicle has no mass and is all propellant.

  • an Top-fuel driver fells more Gs than an astronaut buonly for 6 seconds :D

  • This film is with High speed cameras watching the full speed will give you a perspective of the lift off alexthejester.
