Highest g is at minimum mass. That's late in the flight when the tanks are almost empty. The goal of designing a lauch vehicle to to reduce the mass of the unsable (aka structure, etc.) relative to the loaded propellant. perfect vehicle has no mass and is all propellant.
It's probably been answered a million times already, but what causes the black exhaust to "suck" down through the launcher platform?
