Communique is one of my all time fav records. The production and tunes are perfect. Much better than Brothers in Arms, considered by many as their best work.....the groove on Communique is infectious!!!

DYLAN? I see nothing that would resemble - especially verbally... ! Dylan's lyrics are usually long and often are like "stories" . And most is kind of political, "dense". Dire Straits sound is brilliant, like Dylan's is too, his guitar was very good!  , but Dire's lyrics are more to the here and now and "lighter" . ( well I am refering to the older stuff which was REALLY good and worth listening to)

@Cestmoiamis Agreed - Dire Straits are like the opposite end of the scale to Dylan. They never wrote sprawling poetic stories; just simple, beautifully simple songs, and that's the key to their success. Even 'epics' like Telegraph Road are still very simple narratives about humble, everyday shit. I think their sound is far more important than their lyrics, whereas with Bob Dylan I'd say his words were what made the music.

Have you ever listened to Blood on the Tracks? It's one of the best albums by Dylan. Listen to it if you haven't and I think you'll like it a lot , if you like him!
