In the released game all that happens is if you cause enough damage to a part of them it will fall off, similar to fallout 3/NV. However offing a leg is an instant kil and on some zombies offing an arm instant kill, which isnt particularily "zombie" like.

Anyway, unless you set them on fire thier appearance does not chance, and even when you do set them on fire it just goes from one set appearance to another. There is no reaction to wounding.

yeah yeah... for me it is one of the less important features of the game. Of course I realize that it is important feature for the whole game world and if it will make the game fun, that's ok. I would enjoy more seeing some interesting story rather than smashing dead(?) bodies just to see that 'real time injuries'. Also I'm very sceptic about this idea because theres a high chance it won't look so awesome as it is shown on thailers.
