If american don´t want her to play in the National Team after being one of the best players in the country, it is not that hard to understand that if someone else shows affection for you, to do so in there. I do respect her decission. It is just sports and money, think about it. How many foreigners with a brand new american passport have been competing or will compete for the US thru the years??? c´mon people, get real!

well, looking closely at american "sports" we'll see that it's constituted mostly by immigrants. So why Russia can use the help of other countries, including america? Russia has enough money now to reverse the brain drain and the flow of sportsmen.
The new Continental Hockey League is already established, and other sport directions are fully financed now. So this new trend is obvious.

She just want to play. It so happen that one of the requirements in the Olympic is that a player must be a citizen of the country in order to represent the said country. But the problem is.... her very own country overlooked her (may be due to her height, I think, less than 6 ft?). I'll do the same if I'm her.
