  • I have a Droid. It has a memory card. I store apps on it, as long as the developer understands they can make that option available.

So, my friend, you are wrong.

  • LONG LIFE DROID

  • @WaffleEgo I'm not sure what a 'youtuber' is by definition, but I'm assuming it's someone who uses youtube; in which you would be one as well correct?? Either way, I agree that the video is stupid but it seems extremely hypocritical to criticize the medium (youtube) and its users rather than the message itself (this dumb, deceptive video) .

  • Why waste your time, as well as everyone else's making this video, especially by giving it a deceptive title?? I love my droid and I chose to buy it over the iPhone because of its versatility for app development as well as MANY other features including FLASH, which the iPhone will never have. You're complaining about internal memory when obviously most users are satisfied.

iThink you are giving Christianity a bad rep. by representing it with your name, then intentionally deceiving people.

  • lol i have the DROID but it just made me laugh!

btw all my apps are stored on my 16gb card? lol

  • I really hope you go fucking die in a hole by your self your probablly like to touch little boys stop trying to ruin youtube foreveryone else

  • not really im just proving a point that the video is wrong what i put in caps lock is my main point and it makes it more noticable

  • jealous much?

  • Fake and gay video... and we already found jesus in a little black metal form, called the Droid

  • uh this video is WRONG it might be out all ready but they said soon you CAN USE THE SD CARD FOR STORING APPS!

  • Just Got the Droid, and this video is a huge Fail! Better Luck Next time the phone is Great!

  • haha u dumb shit....the apps do store on the SD card, just the binary file is saved internally....if youre going to take time to make a video like this...make sure your "ignorance" app is turned off...

  • sorry Son37Lumiere lol i didnt see you had already informed people on this...

  • Funny that everyone is saying the iphone will always win when the Droid got gadget of the year from time magazine. iphone was 4th

  • Oh look it's the letsfindjesus idiot again peddling lies.

News flash genius, apps store their data on the microsd, only the binary file (kbs in size) gets stored on the internal memory. This is an anti-piracy design. You fail.

  • @r0kst4r fail

  • Apps and games are stored on the external mem. Execuable files are stored on the phone to prevent privacy.

  • Yes I am talking about the 512mb on board, I work for Verizon Wireless, the 512mb is what the app storage is stored on, again, I have 35 apps currently on my phone and it hasnt slowed down a bit, and unlike the Iphone they can run at the same time.

  • Well get your facts straight then, the Droid has 512MB built in, not 256, and I have 35 apps on my droid right now, 10 of them games, its running fine , how many more freakin apps do you need at the same time??? Idiots.....

  • @frogmn2 its 256. You're talking about the 512 mb onboard ram.

  • So the VZW site is wrong then?

its 512MB ROM, 256MB RAM. Stupid troll

  • @letsfindjesus fail

  • Heres a quick comment to solve everyones problems. The Iphone wins in the intertainment industry and probably always will. the droid is going to win in the OS open source buisness motive. Buy droid, buy ipod touch. touch does all entertainment iphone does problem solved

  • It's just a phone. Get over it lol

  • I dont know too much about cell phones, but I just bought the droid. From my readings, it seems that the reason why everyone is crying is because you cant "play games" with the driod like you can on the iphone due to the memory. If I am wrong someone please enlighten me, because I dont use a cell phone to play boring games anyway.

  • It's all nonsense. Lies spread by morons and apple itards.

  • @Jager1988 nope, u r wrong... u can play games with the droid exactly like u can with the iphone, if not better...

  • All this shit is nonsense. It's like saying Halle Berry's ugly because she has a third nipple! A little messed up but still fine as hell. The Droid's a sexy phone. Buy it or don't but shut the fuck up!

  • I don't understand why Motorola didn't simply include 16GB of internal memory, since they are trying to compete with the iPhone?

  • This is such a non issue. As long as the executable file(s) are on the ROM the pictures, video and other files can reside on the sd card.

It's really funny listening to all of you NON programmers point fingers in jest...when you have absolutely NO IDEA what you are talking about.

The iPhone is a great device...granted. The Droid is also a great device which will force the competition to step up their game. Win win for consumers.

    iPhone fanboys make me laugh.

  • So much space, exactly, do executables take up, on average for Droid apps? Even if it's 4-6Mb, you're still severely limited by 256Mb memory. I am a programmer, and I don't think that this is a non-issue. What makes it an even bigger issue, is that most Droid reviews fail to address this issue entirely. Since you're such a "smart" and "knowledgeable" programmer for a Droid platform, please enlighten the rest of us with some concrete data.

  • so you love your iPhone...who gives a shit? You're like those damn people going door to door asking you to join them...what do they call it? yeah a CULT

  • Yeah I love the iPhone, but im still going to get the droid. I love people like you that think just because I own an iphone im some how in a cult. The iphone is a great phone, thats a fact. I made this video because I want the Android OS to be perfect, because I LOVE TECHNOLOGY. Angry Internet dude, you really need to up your prozac.

  • Not a problem for the iPhone because you can't have expandable memory to begin with? Lol, good argument.

And you're also uninformed as you can put apps on the SD card just fine.

  • Actually, "The Motorola Droid will be the most powerful Android phone to date when it launches on November 6, 2009. However, the device still features the same shortcomings of all other Android phones. The Droid ships with a 512 MB ROM which contains only 256 MB available for app storage."

  • can you RUN them from the SD card in Android?! THAT is the key ... thus far I only know WM and Symbian S60, MOAP, and UIQ where able to do this.

  • no, thats the whole point.

  • there are several apps that store most of their data on the sd card in andoird ...copilot being only one example ....its not as big of a limitation as it seems there are phones coming out with android 2.0 on them that have 32 gigs of internal memory so we shall see how the market hashes this out

  • Having data or a database that applications read/write to is NOT the concern. Its installing and running the FULL application off the microsd card - such that the devices RAM is used to for real time computing of the app - less resources used this way. This way you have a choice of what apps are core to running your device and which are secondary.

  • apps2sd. give it 3 months.

how long did copy and paste take?

  • is this a joke? having an internal memory consider a good thing? hhaahahahaha

  • internal memory IS considered a good thing. Its VERY fast and lasts longer because of the chips used. Nokia has done it, HTC has done it as well ... don't point the finger just because you dislike Apple/iPhone when many devices on various platforms do this. Its going to be more common in 2010. RIM even does this on the both Bold's and also on the Storms.
