@drumcode911 by the time the vehicles get better: especially lights (LED lights or bigger strobes, on new ambulances there are used electronic sirens imitating air pressured ones
@EnjoyFirefighting Trust me - I follow these developments but the Polizei experimenting with tiny reflective dotted lines around the new blue livery and a little bit of yellow on the rear doesn't really compare to fully reflective chevrons on the rear and Battenburgs on the sides. The siren (electronic or antique) is still the worst characteristic and ineffective. Have you checked out the Buenos Aires and Budapest ambulance vids here on YT? Different varations of the American one. Nice!!!
@casi47058 I'm not that old but I've heard! :) No excuse for such a great nation to have such crappy cars now, though. Already overtaken by Eastern Europe. At least Germany could have both sirens together like in Hungary, France, Poland and Sweden. Some UK fire engines have the old siren together with the modern one, too. Can't believe the Dutch are switching to the German siren now from their very distinctive own siren.
@drumcode911 Yeah, Germany is a great nation with great laws and great regulations, that make great experiments impossible. Our cars are not crappier than yours. It's the hi-lo as the only permitted siren, that makes me puke! The French don't have other sirens either, the Dutch have additional three-tone.
Its Martin Horn not martins horns. The company Martin builds it. And those are mechanical sirens, but normally we have also electronic sirens, but they are not that loud lol^^
zoals je ziet behoort deze ambulance ook tot de brandweer. In duitsland maar ook in vele andere EU landen en daarbuiten bv USA. Heeft de brandweer ook ambulances in beheer.
Krankenwagen may still be used in an emergency, but aren't usually the first line of response. In Germany there are 3 levels of ambulance: Notartzwagen (literally 'emergency doctor vehicle') - a frontline ambulance with paramedics and a doctor (rapid response cars with a doctor are also Notarztwagen), Rettungswagen ('rescue vehicle') - frontline paramedic ambulance, and Krankenwagen - usually for non-emergency transport.
It's an ambulance, operated by the fire service. The 'Notfallrettung' (emergency rescue) on the side indicates that it's a Rettungswagen, i.e. a paramedic-crewed emergency ambulance, rather than a Krankenwagen, which is a patient transport ambulance.
For the case a patients condition changes from bad to worse and becomes life-threatening. For example: An old man falls down the stairs, breaks his arm. But during the transport to hospital he gets a heart attack!
Yes, but in Germany - in case of an emergency - you call 112 - which is officially the firedepartment, but it also coordinates medical ambulance. So this car is what you gonna get when you REALLY need a doctor here in Germany. ;-)
In Germany the firebrigade also have ambulances. In some citys in germany only the firedepartements organize the rescueservice. Generally there are alot of private helporganisations in Germany which organize also rescueservices. For example: In my town we got 3 ambulances,1from the DRK (German Red Cross),1 from the JUH (Johanniter-Accident-Help) and 1 from the firebrigade.
