Rüf's are NOT porsches. They are their own company, have their own vins, manufacture the whole car except the basic monocoque of a 911 with no body panels on it. Porsche has nothing to do with them after sending these shells to Rüf.

Great technique for shooting cars however may I suggest next time use a tripod with a pan head. It makes the scene much easier to view and draws the viewers eye to the car instead of the jerky movements of the background. Otherwise a nice video. THANKS!

Actually that is another CTR2 Sport (one of 16 made - actually the first one made I think) I've seen one at RUF Germany for 255,000 EUR. Ours is still for sale at $214,900 a bargain in comparison.

Fast as in acceleration. My buddy Kevin has a street car that would destroy this thing in eighth AND quarter-mile runs, but as I can see this is mostly a road handling car and it is well suited to be in the mountains. And if you have about a mile and a half of Nevada or Arizona desert, you can take it up to it's top speed. But not everyone has that kind of road.

It could easily handle the desert if it was cooled properly. Twin aluminum radiators with a large capacity intercooler to cool that huge turbine. Don't act like this car would never be able to drive in different climates. I raced my 510 Datsun on a dry lake outside of Yuma, Arizona on a Wedensday, and that Friday raced it on an ice lake in northern Montana. And yeah, my 510 was a turbo car at the time.

Near the end of the video when the engine is just idling, with the cameraman walking around it, I hear what I believe to be a noisy lifter. As in, hydraulic valve lifter. Usually a lifter becomes noisy because their interior diaphragms break down and cannot hold the oil pressure they are designed to. Lack of oil in a lifter, hence noisy lifter.
