  • actually when you choose colors you should always be choosing from the same color group so they blend better! :) the letter represents the base color, B-blue V-violet... The 1st diget in the number represents the shade/tone of the color, B1, V6... The second diget is for the darkness. 1 is the lightest and 9 is the darkest.

    example: so if I have a B14 and a V14 they wouldn't blend well. If I had a B14 and a B22 they woildnt blend but a B14 and a B17 would.

  • @181sugarpop actually the middle number is how much gray is in the color which effects the vibrancy of the color- more gray dulls the vibrancy of the ink color. You need to keep the letter & middle number the same for solid colored images as a middle number of "2" will not blend with a middle number of "7" since the gray tones would be different. The end numbers are 0 light to dark 9.But that is ONLY true for images colored 1 color-hair, landscape & such don't follow those rules.

  • I'm hooked on your videos, so much detail, plus I think you have a lovely voice. Thanks for the great lessons.

  • Thanks!! Love all your tutorials :)

  • @NeccoWecco you sound like an incredibly rude person...use more respect when you speak. Suzanne is taking the time and effort to teach, not to be criticized about how she speaks.

  • @NeccoWecco The video is not about her voice. I bet half of the people here dont care if her voice sounded boring.
