@intelligentignorance Exactly. He was so fierce during the beta, but for months he's been hit and miss. A lot of it has to do with what you said, he just doesn't change his builds when he needs to. I saw a game a couple months ago where he made a game thirty minutes longer than it needed to be because he kept making ultras instead fo broods.

He would often allow a terran player to amass huge amounts of MMM, or Thors, or just get to max army and then complain when his army was crushed. Do you understand how ZvT works? IdrA can't just run in and kill the Terran unless he has a huge economic lead. ZvT revolves around killing the Terrans army and starving them out, you have to have a big lead or be going all-in if you want them to just run in and kill them.

I'm not going to take you seriously until you actually specify games in tournaments where he has done this. Ladder games dont count either

I'm pretty sure you mean the Idra vs Drewbie match a long time ago. Drewbie played very defensively with many planetary fortress and turrets (idra also used mutas, but skipped the production because of all the turrets). If a decent terran plays defensively, theres simply nothing you can do than massing up yourself. It seems you've never played Zerg above platin. It would be so awesome if people were forced to think for at least 10 seconds before judging.

I'm not judging IdrA. I'm saying that he rages most often due to his own stubbornness. When he plays magnificently like he did in this tourney, he has no need to rage because he slaughters his opponents, as it should be. He is a masterful player, I just think he has displaced anger, which is probably true (read a psychology book if you don't know what displacement is).

Why does everyone talk about nerfs? I play random and i'm pretty decent (not pro) player at gold/ almost platinum league. I don't really see the need to nerf as so much balance everything out. It seems like whatever unit you want to be nerfed (maurader for example) can be countered easily by another terran unit or zerg unit. But protoss has a little struggle. I just personally think stalkers should get +10 life or even just allow protoss their shield battery back. I miss that building. :(

@Kings2hell If you made mutas any slower than they are now, they would be completely, totally, utterly, PATHETICALLY useless, because any time you tried to harass with them, they would just get picked apart, and wouldn't be able to escape. A 100g/100m squishy flying unit with small dps and range has no purpose but to harass, and pick off drops. If they were slower, they could do neither.

A harass unit compared to mutas? How about a cloaking, flying unit with 6 range that can two-shot workers without any upgrades?? You can get banshees about a minute faster than mutalisks, too, and be safe doing it because Terran can wall off his front and put a few marines in a bunker. If Zerg rushes straight to mutalisks, he dies, unless his opponent is a moron. Or how about a super fast, minerals-only ground unit that can two-shot many workers at a time after a cheap upgrade??

Also, you didn't ask for a unit that is "the exact same" as mutas, just a harass unit that "compares" to mutas, i.e. it keeps them pinned in their base. A single Banshee is guaranteed at least 5 drone kills, even if they are totally prepared. If they go Hydras, they still can't move out.

Don't tell me "Range Hydras shut down phoenixes" because I could say the same for blink stalkers or stimmed marines for mutas.
