How to Jailbreak iPod Touch 1G, iPhone 3G and iPhone on MACOSX ~ part 1

Same thing is happening to me. The ipod is updated, and so is my comp, but quickpwn won't recognize it. Did anyone figure this out?

I am using snowlepord, btw, so idk if that has anything to do with the problem.

is there a reason why my iphone G1 isn't being recognized when i plug it in for quickpwn? i've jailbroken it twice already and cydia hasn't gotten on my app springboard so i have to do it again? it's currently synced with my itunes. my other phone broke last night so i'm giving this serious attention right now. please help, anyone...

sorry, my account was temporarily suspended coz youtube removed some of my review vids and a purely ORIGINAL vid, anyway try restoring your iphone first then rejailbreak it. it may help.

No, unless you unplug your ipod from your computer thinking it's frozen when it's in the process jailbreaking. Just follow the steps as the video goes, or even better, watch the video first, the play the video when you are jailbreaking.

no. you'll need to follow the instructions on quickpwn as they do checks. quickpwn will tell you when to get your ipod in dfu mode.

is your ipod 2g(noticeably slimmer, has volume buttons) or 1g(looks almost identical to iphone 1/2g)?

it was my friends 1g cuz my sis has tha 2g and they look much different but w.e i told her 2 do it herself

if the one your jailbreaking is 2g then this wont work. this method works only for 1g, iphone and iphone 3g. 2g you'll have to use tytool.
