Thanks for your honest comment. I was hesitant about posting this video because it is mainly just some young birds in early stages of development. Also the shots were mostly when the birds were flying low. I was just trying to learn how to shoot and edit an entertaining video. I knew that a rollerman would recognize that quality is lacking. Actually only one bird shows a burst of real speed.. at about 3:20 in the video. I want to make a video that shows a lot better quality.
Thanks for the video contribution of the roller in slow motion. This is the second slo mo video I've seen. The other was a Discovery Channel video. Frankly, I'm a bit disappointed. Not with the videos, but with the style of our birds. In my head, I didn't realize that the roll was so open. But if you think about it, how tight can a bird be with it's wings away from it's body.
