Hell, I'm not even religious and I always liked Stryper. If you really think about it, this particular song could just be any 80's metal ballard, just think about your honey instead of christ and there ya go...
I sang this at karaoke the other night...man it brought back good memories....was surprised I could hit most of the notes....Sweet isn't easy to imitate...
Whether Stryper is your taste in music or not they are professing their love for Jesus publicly. I believe that Jesus is the messiah and no one will make me feel otherwise. Looking back at these old videos of Stryper playing in front of huge audiences I never would have imagined seeing them in a bar with less than 200 people. Checkout my videos and see for yourself.
If there were less than 200 people there, Houston really sux... None of the 80's bands draw well nowadays.. Slaughter, Warrant, and Firehouse are playing the club circuit (together) as well..
@bigbrokin I wouldn't say Houston sucks..Stryper was booked to play in Scout Bar and that's all the club could hold. Don't blame it on Houston. Just like you said..there's alot of 80's bands playing the club circuit. Last November I saw Roger Waters play in the Toyota Center and he packed the house. It's all about market demand and I guess Stryper's market value is pretty low.

Whether Stryper is your taste in music or not they are professing their love for Jesus publicly. I believe that Jesus is the messiah and no one will make me feel otherwise. The bible tells us to confess Jesus to others and He will not forsake us. I believe that you can be blessed. Remember we all get to Heaven for judgement, but who is going to stay?

Looking back at these old videos of Stryper playing in front of huge audiences I never would have imagined seeing them in a bar with less than 200 people. Checkout my videos and see for yourself.

If there were less than 200 people there, Houston really sux... None of the 80's bands draw well nowadays.. Slaughter, Warrant, and Firehouse are playing the club circuit (together) as well..

@bigbrokin I wouldn't say Houston sucks..Stryper was booked to play in Scout Bar and that's all the club could hold. Don't blame it on Houston. Just like you said..there's alot of 80's bands playing the club circuit. Last November I saw Roger Waters play in the Toyota Center and he packed the house. It's all about market demand and I guess Stryper's market value is pretty low.
