Wow! I never thought of that. Were Beebop and Rocksteady created first or did the Nasty Boys get the idea from watching a TMNT cartoon?

@kisser83 Technically, the cartoon came first, but the Nasty Boys clothes and haircuts came out of that same street culture of the early 1980s. They said in a shoot interview that they looked and dressed like that before they even got in the wrestling business.

Only the Nasty Boys never bothered changing their style or getting rid of the mullet-hawks, which is why they both look like they walked out of a 1983 skateboarding video in this 1995 Youtube video.
