i remember one time while leveling up our first characters, me and my best friend of 6 years came across thelsamar in loch modan.. we were new to WoW and everything was epic.. we then bought like 50 drinks from the bartender and sat down in chairs with the inn music blasting for like 30 minutes... i miss those days :)

The new background music is horrible and cataclysm ruined all the great places in Azeroth. But WoW has to evolve in order for it to be fun more than just a few years. Hopefully "Mist of Pandaria" will bring along lots of great scenery and music.

The original theme gives you a sense of heroicness, if that's even a word :P it fits every situation whether you have to kill Onyxia (the old one, the actually fun-to-kill one)

or simply to sit back and watch your character have a beer, it will always sing in our hearts as the great moments we spent on wow

The music is one of the reasons WoW is -THE- MMO. It's epic, magical, and simply rad. The lore, the music, the atmosphere. Wow is, and will always be superior, in my opinion. Nostalgia btw<3

The first was the best I don't see why Blizzard had to replace it... It was the music that caused me to waste hours of my time in inns when I should have been leveling lol. That's one thing I kinda don't like about Blizzard: How they took away some of the best parts that made the backbone of Orgininal WoW

I have stopped for the third time. I usually take about 7 months off every year. The new dungeon finder is nuts though. Kids needing frozen orbs and tanks with 24k hp trying to tank heroics. I've had more fail groups since it's introduction than I can count.

Love the music though. I ripped all of it out of the directory and plan on burning a cd. Got all the effets and ambience. Thought I might have to make me a cool halloween cd to hide in the bushes and scare the kiddies lol.
