Personally it shouldn't matter WHAT generation was better causes it's really a matter of each opinion upon the individual. Course you have your epic fan boys that put G1 or 2 over the rest without giving anything else new a chance. Not saying those were bad cause I took the time to watch as much as the first series as I could and I loved it, but I will say I Liked Armada up to Galaxy Force/Cybertron and some of Prime. But my time was Beast Wars so. . . I'm around there.

I liked this battle because, not only was it awesome, it had hero preachings about conviction and determination were turned on its head with the villains trading punches over justified lessons. Though their ideals don't exactly match the owner's.

Starscream, the schemer and backstabber, talks about gaining power by sacrificing themselves and everything to get. Then there's Galvatron, a genocidal tyrant, saying it's better to play it safe until the right moment. Pretty ironic yet reasonable.

Starscream never held back, and as we saw, that meant Starscream had the clear upper hand the entire time. Then, when pushed to the brink and it was clear he'd be destroyed if he didn't give his all, Galvatron risked it all like he had never before. Hence why he won. Galvatron's unleashed power trumped Starscream's, end of debate.
