I think maybe I could help you. I have a shitload of MIDIs from the game. The music in the DS version sounds nearly identical to the SNES version, and since the DS version has the music in VGM format or whatever, I have the MIDIs and DLS files ripped from the game. Including this one.

The bass in this track is important and too low on your version (for my tastes).

The deep double bass was always giving the forest a mystical feel. Your version is a bit too light, but I like it anyway.

This is really good, although I wish you didn't leave the voices out. You know, the soft humming in the background that plays in the original track. It's kind of hard to explain, but if you listen to the original track from the snes one with headphones... you can hear it and it sounds awesome. It's just gives it that touch.
