Agree with some of the other sentiments here. From looking at the couple of images shown(that was seemingly taken with the M9P) ... I would consider redoin gthis excersice if I was in charge of Leica's advertising Group or Campaign. The pictures are for most mediocre, and I tend to agree. Magnum Photographer?
Yeah, seriously, I'm dismissing his photography based on this. Because if this is all he can muster when handed gear of this caliber and asked to put it through its paces, he's either a hack, lazy, or both.
I must admit that I was quite unimpressed by this the first times I watched it. Also, not least by the poor resolution of the shots on leica's website, since they too do neither "gear of this caliber" nor the photographer justice.
Yeah, he's just not a very good photographer. Looks the part, but, you know, like Gertrude Stein once said about Oakland, California -- "There's not there there."
@greenophotography They can be exceptional, I think, but I do not think the ''exceptional'' can take place anytime, everytime they do photography works. You think Bresson go out every day and can have every single photo exceptional? I dont think so
@hippo71124 No "exceptional" does not take place every time, but that's no excuse to publish for viewing "unexceptional" photography which Bresson never would have done. On second thought...

The gear is first-rate. The photographer... Uh... I thought being a "Magnum" photographer meant being something, you know, exceptional. Guess not.

Sorry, I don’t find those shots something special. I would never have guessed those were made with a Leica camera.
Leica tries to make an ad stunt and always in their ads make it special to own a Leica camera.
This is The Emperor's New Clothes.
This stunt didn’t work well. I have seen photos from Leica cameras much better than this. There is a lack of spirit and quality in the shots.

Such beautiful photos! Makes me think back to my time in Venice, walking across tabletops in St Mark's Square because it had flooded.
The photo of the gondolier at 1:37 is incredible! Such a sharp, crisp image, even though the gondola was rocking!
I'm determined to own a Leica one day... just have to start saving now!
