Then finally pull out the NATO forces and get a good working Afghan government in place. Get rid of the opium and produce food instead. Taliban will be crushed, their source of recruitment (the poor) will be gone and the operation is done. But instead of doing this, we just keep on like this until we are bankrupt. The civil war in Afghanistan will in the end be lost to the Taliban and our soldiers will keep dying. USA might even fuck up Earth with opium too!

What we should do is go to a large campaign and end this war now, instead of wasting time, money and lives on this shit. More troops + an aggressive campaign against Taliban in Afghanistan. Put up surveillance on the borders to stop Taliban from gaining resources that kills. Remove the current government (because their shit) and put in a western government that can clean up the mess. Then finally get the poor minorities to work so they can have better lives. Build up the infrastructure.

Not the full truth. We may be benefitting from the opium trade there, but there was NO mention of the TAPI pipeline which was the initial reason we went in there. The countries that have troops in there have an investment in the TAPI through the Asian Development Bank. Iran offered an alternative pipeline to Pak and India, therefore becoming competitors.
