  • I was going to say cones are also horrible for you hair. to. im also a 20 years old married with a 10 month old son, stay at home mom, i bought WEN hair products $60 bucks from showcase, 2 big bottles of cleansing, 1 jar of re moisturizing treatment, 1 texture bar, and a styling cream. and i can tell you WEN is totally different then washing your hair with conditioner, i use to do that cause i read it in a magzine, and it doesnt even compare. Im in love with The WEN hair care products

  • i've been co-washing for a little over a month and my hair has never been this easy to manage, or this soft

  • Thank youu for posting this! I've been co-washing for two months now and my hair has drastically changed!

  • You are so adorable!

  • i love you. you are freaking adorable.

  • if your not using sulfates you should give up silicones too or else you end up with product buid up

  • You are so f-ing CUTE! AWWWW! :D

  • thank's for the tip!!!

  • I have been doing the Co-wash for about two weeks and i love it... my hair is a bit thicker, softer, and has a nice shine... love this thanks!

  • wow i didn't know other races could co-wash there hair.

all i've seen is african americans.

  • try Hair One from sallys...its 10 bucks and it is the EXACT replica of Wen..congrats on your baby!

  • Did I can use John Frieda Full Repair conditionner for co-wash ? please answer !!!

  • @Kiba309 sorry im not the person from this video and you could co wash ur hair with that but it contains cones and that gives you a worse clean so try to find a cone free conditioner and it should work wonders over time

  • i just want to say THANKYOUU. i have curly hair so i never washed it. maybe once in 2 weeks. but every day id just go in the shower... skip shamppoing.. and put conditioner on.. leave it in for few mins... rinse off.. etc. i thought it was ok cuz its conditioning my hair. boy was i wrong! i never thought anything of it cuz my hair never looked dirty.. but now that i am cowashing... it so much bouncier and shinier and i can tell its clean. i forgot my hair culd luk like this! THANKU

  • Ive been using sulfate free shampoo and conditioner since September and have decided to just go back to co washing

  • how long did it take you to grow your hair out when you started this process?????????

    please please answer!!!!!!!!

  • @23taylorlautner You know when you're pregnant your hair and nails grow like crazy, so don't just attribute her hair growth to cowashing. If you're that concerned to grow your hair out, I'd recommend prenatal pills and cowashing.

  • how did it take to grow your hair out when you started this process??? please please answer!!!!

  • I just started Co-washing today in fact and I used Suave Clarifying conditioner and it cleansed my hair very well and I followed up with a leave in conditioner. My hair isn't all the way dry yet, but I can tell it got it clean. Really cool.

My roots usually always dry first, my bangs especially, and they are drying and my hair looks just as clean so far as when I used shampoo. :) Thanks for the vid, I subscribed.

  • show ur baby.

  • Cool I'm black and was googling co washing and your video pop up, I've always saw many woman do this but I thought it was werid and not effective until I saw Haircrush (another youtuber on here) says she does it and her hair is so long & beautiful I think I might try this since I have a bunch of suave conditioners, thanks!

  • wow just to say at first i thought i clicked on the wrong video lol, but watching your video has helped me alot because I am african american and I DO want that oil to stay in my roots and thank you for explaining the types of conditioners. :)

  • my mom gets wens on her scalp. does this stuff help with that?

  • Here are some Wen alternatives you can get: Hair One (found at Sally Beauty $9.50!), Hair Rules cleansing conditioner (awesome smell, but pricey-er), Miss Jessie's Creme de la Creme (in New York, so I can't get it in Canada - Booo! :(). Please post more alternatives if you find 'em -Thanks!

  • Wow, I just watched two of your videos and had to subscribe. I just love how descriptive you are in your reviews and your accent is so sweet an lovely.

    I'm glad I found yah ;)

  • I LOVE your accent SO MUCH! This video is AWESOME, by the way. Love it!!! :D

  • hey miss Erica

i love your accent,,you must live in Texas

  • Your accent is ADORABLE!!!!! And great vid.

  • Girl, cut it out. Your natural hair color is lovely! I'd be willing to bet your hair texture in enviable, too.

  • you can dye your hair naturally and healthily with henna. you can even dye it brown if you add some indigo to it. check it out :)

  • oh my goodness, this is the first time i have seen one of your videos and i must say you are soo cute miss Erika ;)

  • Have yu ever tried Hair One? They sell it at Sally's Beauty supply. I have used Wen and Hair one and hair one is exaclty the same as Wen but WAY cheaper! It is a cleansing condtioner w/o sulphates...Same as Wen. It makes my hair so soft and un frizzy.

  • girl, you're like me!! I had forgotten my real hair color and after I stopped dying it and when it was growing back, some bitch at work was acting really shocked to see that I "had gray hair" and told my co-workers. I didn't remember my hair color so I couldn't defend myself. hehe . now my hair is natural and it really looks like I have gray hair. I could say I have natural highlights but I'm so bored of my hair color. lol

  • Thank you Erica. I wanted to try Wen, but it is not in my budget. I am African-American with natural hair and I have been shampooing and conditioning for years. The shampoo makes my hair very dry. I have started co-washing with a 1$ conditions. I like Suave and VO5. My hair is short so it works for me. I agree with you, can't afford Wen, co-wash. :-) Hope you pregnancy is going well. I just subscribed to your blog.

  • how many times do u do this a week

  • awesome accent

  • Thanks for posting this cuz I was thinking bout tryin web or a alternative that sally makes but its still pricey so I think I'll try it thanks again hope the best for ur new family!

  • If anyone is looking for a good conditioner ( good one, not one for CO washing ), try Renpure's Amazing Miracle Reconstructor. I'm a hair product snob, and have only used salon products for umpteen years, but this Renpure stuff is awesome.

  • i luv all this info i am going to do this method i had the wen and yes its expensive i couldnt afford to keep getting it. im going to do this method today!!

  • You hair will grow faster just for the simple fact that you are pregnant. ^_^... After you have the baby i heard you lose a lot of hair.....

  • Hey Erica,

i'm just a hubby looking to help my wife's frizzy hair condiotion....this vid helped a lot and i will pass the info to her, congrats on your baby!!!

  • im african american and yes co washing is wonderful,it works for any race.you will defintly recommend it for anyone

  • I just read that your from Kentucky. I'd love to go to Kentucky. Unfortunately I'm from California and i LOVE your southern draw girl! I bet Kentucky has some real pretty country parts. I kinda think you lucky being from somwhere (like Kentucky) rather than from California. Love your accent and southern draw. TTYL Waves and winks to ya : )

  • Hi Erica, I'm new to watching your vids. You seem so sweet. I bet your weill be an amazing Mommy! I hope you have a happy & healthy baby ;) Your so pretty and I love your hair. Now that I found ya, I'm gonna keep watching your vids. Gotta run, but have a wonderful day pretty lady! Waves and winks ;)

  • miss erica!!! i miss your videos! congrats on your baby! i think u and eric will b great parents

  • You are so creative and so appreciate your sharing the info.

    Looking fabulous. :)

  • there is another products that is called "Hair One" that is from sally beauty supply that is like when as well.

  • i used to no poo..but i missed the lather. so i shampoo again. i use herbal essences..and i like it. i still no-poo every now and then.

  • i wish you would make another baby vlog.

  • I think the massage you do in the shower while you moisturize your hair with the first conditioner stimulates the growth. I have oily roots and my hair is all natural, but I am going to try this :) thanks for sharing these nice tips!

  • this is how blk people wash their hair since Reg shampoo is too drying to our hair! xoxo

  • Would this work on my color treated hair that sheds insanely since coloring it to help with the shedding? it's gotten better in the months since dying it but its still pretty bad...? help please

  • ive tried wen and loved it but yes its very expensive.. ill try this out and see if its the same :)

  • i am also on a budget, so i dilute the burts bees w/ coconut oil and water so it lasts longer! once a month i use giovanni as sbrna mentioned. they have a 50/50 clarifying shampoo which is awesome at getting the product buildup out AND it's also sulfate free. i dilute that too with water cuz it's just so expensive! :) i get everything from target!

  • love you erica! :) i'm a huge fan of co-washing. before i went natural, i only washed my hair about once per month so it didn't matter, but since i've been natural, co-washing has SAVED my hair. i use the V05 for my co-wash and burt's bees volumizing conditioner afterwards.

  • congrats on the pregnancy!

  • i have really fine, thin hair. i wonder if this might work for me. anyone know?

  • My stylist is from the Dominican Republic, they specialize in curly hair and they always wash my hair that way. It really works well. Thanks Erica!

Hope everything is going well with the pregnancy :)

  • black people been doing this!

  • I am going to try this! I have thick, coarse, wavy hair and it's kind of hard to control. I hope it makes my hair grow faster too like yours.

I'm 20 too and I could never justify spending $40 on a conditioner, lol.

Congratulations on the baby! =) I hope everything goes well for you.

  • Well Giovanni hair care products are cheap and good. Other than that olive oil treatments are great. :-)

  • hmmm I use wen and I will agree it is very expensive!! I will have to try this and see if it works the same. I will have to get back to you on that. Thanks for sharing. Mary

  • I can sympathize. I'm pregnant as well, I was due on the 10th but she's evidently not ready to come out. There will be a window coming up for you that SHOULD have you feeling better. Take advantage of it because the last month kicks your butt worse then the first ones!!

  • What can I say--I am a subscriber. I was hooked on your videos when you did the Milk of Magnesia or generic for oily skin. Here is wishing you a Merry Christmas; I am glad to see you making videos again. Thanks for more good advice about cowashing--which I already knew about; but thanks for confirming the results. Best of everything to you with the delivery of y'alls baby.

  • After the first time I did it I could already tell just out of the shower that it was easier to comb out and didn't seem to break as much as I detangled but it seems like the more I do it the healthier it is starting to look. But even first time it looked really healthy and I was totally surprised :D

  • i was so exited when i saw u had a new video thanx for the video and good luck with the baby

  • Erica, you look beautiful!! Thanks for the tips. God bless your family and your new baby. Merry Xmas!!

  • Thank you very much, I know that it might not be easy to get up and make a video, the editing etc. I really wanted to grow my hair nice and long, it is shoulder height and it takes a long long time to grow. I have some supermarket brand conditioner and then some l'oreal conditioner, I hope it will work :/ Thank you sooooo much for this video. Good luck with the baby, all the best - Amy

  • Your looking just adorable! So glad to see ya!

  • Yay!!!!!!!! You're back!!! Congrats on the pregnancy, you're so cute!!!

  • This sounds like it would go excellent with my hair! :D, wavy, coarse, thick, hmm..

  • WELCOME BACK :DDD

  • Welcome BAck!!!! girl... I am preggo too!! 2 months and feel short of breath already LOL.. great tips as always ;) <3<3<3

  • YAYAYAYAYAY!!! AHHHH!!! I'm so happy for you! :D Yay! When is your due date? So neat we will be mommies together next year :D Good luck with the pregnancy. I hope you don't get morning sickness bad. It's annoying lol Love ya girl and hope all is well. Is hubby excited too? :D

  • awesome video i m going to try i have the worst hair ever

  • I don't find a "cheap" conditioner to work the same as Wen. Hair one from Sally though is a nice like Wen is.

  • You are such a sweetie. What are you having ?I'm guessing girl?Wishing you a healthy baby your way :) God bless

  • she's having a boy :)

  • Haha yeah meg answered for me. I haven't got a chance to make a video on it yet but I announced on twitter. :D It's a boy! That's what me and hubby wanted so we are really happy! lol Thank you so much for the well wishes! Hope you are having a good holiday season! xoxo Erica

  • Why not just use organic shampoo?

  • Well, that is a great option but I personally haven't been able to find a good affordable one in my area. If that is something you can get your hands on easily at a good price that would be just as good I would think :D

  • it's not the prenatals that make the hair grow faster during pregnancy... is the hormones that changes the growth phase... your hair stays in the growth phase longer... after the baby is born your hair will go into the phase where more falls out than it grows... and your hair will get drastically thinner and shorter.

  • I have curly/dry/damaged hair and shampoo dries my hair out sooo much.

I can't wait to try this!

  • ok, first of all i'm not trying to be rude..i'm just going to state my opinion. i'm a hairstylist, and this seems ridiculous to me. why not just use shampoo? shampoo cleanses your hair. conditioner does NOT. using things like herbal essences and suave are noottt good for your hair..at all!!!!

  • Herbal Essences isn't good for your hair?

  • Hey! Thanks for the comment. Well it's kind of the same concept as shampoo. Soap works scientifically as an emulsifier which means it just makes it easier for the dirt, debri etc to slide off the hair. The conditioner works as an emulsifier as well just not as harsh on the hair. So scientifically it actually does clean the hair it's just more gentle so it takes a little more scrubbing. As dae as herbal essences and sauve not being good for hair it may not be the best thing money can buy but...

  • I can really say that the condition of my hair and scalp have improved a lot. No more dandruff, not as much breakage. Which I been a frequent user of the 3-5$ hair shampoos and cond my whole life. Even after trying salon brands. More economical and seems to work the same on my hair. I think most people in general stick to those as well. So, I don't think someone who is a salon brand only user would be into trying this out anyways. :D

  • the cheaper shampoos/conditioners like that appear to make your hair shinier, when really all they are doing is coating the hair shaft..and producing build-up on there.

  • That's true most common shampoos and conditioners contain dimethicone or something similar to it which is a silicone that coats the hair shaft. Shine products and frizz serums, shampoos, conditioners. That's why it is important to have a clarifying shampoo or baking soda or vinegar wash every so often :D

  • I also just heard about a product sold at Sally beauty supply called HAIR ONE that is supposed to be a Wen alternative. gotta try that!

  • Hair one is great

  • Sounds neat! I don't have a sally's in my area or I would have picked that up! :D

  • aww im soooo happy ur back!!!

  • Girl there is an alternative to Wen at Sally's... check it out! its called Hair One and it is 10.99 without a sallys card 9.99 without. not bad and it will make a HUGE difference in your hair. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

  • I've got curly hair and have been co-washing for a few years now, it has a huge following in the curly hair community. My hair looks great, and people never believe me when I tell them that I never use shampoo!

Also, if you're only co-washing but are using styling products with silicones in them, you do need to use shampoo occasionally to get rid of the product buildup like you mentioned :)

  • thnx girly!!! love ya!!!

  • Ms Erica thank you so much for this info! I cant wait to try it out!

BTW i really admire your humbleness, your so down to earth and i hope your life is full of blessings!

    xoxo mary

  • i did not kno you were pregnant but Congratulations!! hope you pregnancy gets alot easier for you and doesn't kick your butt no more lol.

  • Love ur videos!! Great Video, cant wait to try

  • do you know if it will wash your hair well? cause i live in hot weather through the entire yeah.

  • like I said it's pretty much all in the conditioner you use and how long you scrub. If you find the conditioner that works right for your hair and you do the scrubbing for the time and rinse really well it should be just as good as shampoo. Like I said I can go up to 3 days without my hair getting oily. So that is amazing. Same as shampoo!

  • thanks for the video...i have been co-washing for a while and it works great on my hair i am happy that it worked for you

    dee

  • lol! you said pregnatals by accident :P

  • I am not going to lie, but I am African American and I can tell u we DO NOT use co washing our hair cannot be washed just once a month with shampoo, trust me I have hair dressers in my family and have asked my own hair stylist who actually happens to be caucasian.

  • there really is a huge community of african americans who are doing this! Surprising I know, it's an interesting concept. You should check out some of the videos on youtube about it and some of the black hair boards it's like a cult! lol People start doing it and won't do anything else. I don't think any of the african american girls that live near me do it either but online it's taking a big following :D

  • Wow! I can't imagine someone that young dying their hair...you're lucky it's as healthy as it is...I would have thought that much damage would wreck it totally.

And good on you for not dying while pregnant. Even if it was safe, that's not a risk I'd want to take.

Hope things get better with your pregnancy and you can fully enjoy the moments.

  • I know! I really wish my mom hadn't let me dye my hair that young but I was coming home crying from the teasing and it did stop after that. Thanks for the sweet words and if you have a kid don't let them dye their hair young lol

  • ERICA!!!! i'm so happy to see a video from you finally! i took a double take when i saw your video in my subscription box haha. congrats on the pregnancy :)

  • I wash my hair like that. I scratch my head and then use conditioner. but I do shampoo every 2 weeks. Mu hair would be dried and my red would fade.

  • I never got sick to much but I did feel sleepy. Until I got on vitamins. It helped a lot.

  • Nice to have you back, I was just the other day wondering what had become of you! Congrats on the baby; I do hope pregnancy starts treating you a bit better though.

I wasn't familiar with co-washing. Not really something my thin, oily hair needs, but always nice to learn something new.

  • Your hair sounds just like my hubby's so I know exactly what you mean. I have the awfulest time trying to fix his because he keeps letting it get long and I can't find products that work for that type of hair so it just keeps making it oilier. If you have any suggestions please let me know so he can stop looking like a bum hahaha :D

  • how strange, I have never heard of this. I think I might try this, I perm my hair, which is EXTREMELY drying

  • Glad to see you back Ms. Erica! :) I'll have to try this out...my hair is thick but I lost some when I got sick a while back and since then, it's coming back but the new growth is coming in kinda frizzy and curly. I think this would help my hair. :)

  • Erica you look glowing girl.. very pretty :) and your hair looks awesome..Keep it up Erica good luck with the rest of your pregnancy..

  • Wow what a cool idea!! Never even knew this kind of thing existed :)

  • OMG! I had NO idea you were preggos! Congrats! Yay your back! :)

  • So i just tried this method and i really like it! My hair seems shiny(not oily) and very very soft! Thanks for doing this video.

  • Wow yay! I'm so happy. Keep me posted if it continues to work for you. I was amazed this could really work because it sounds crazy lol but I'll do anything if it works lol :D

  • you look great girl! thanks for sharing!

  • I just tried this a little while ago. I have thick, very dry hair and I can already tell that its starting to help. My hair does not feel greasy at all, which I am very surprised by. Thanks for sharing the tip Erica and welcome back to Youtube. We've missed you too! :)

  • i swear by robert craig hair color because it does NOT damage hair in any way and in fact makes it softer and silkier. it is permanent color, but doesn't have harsh chemicals or any smell to it at all. i usually re-color mine once about every two months. the dark brown shades are gorgeous and there is also a clear glaze that can be used once a week or whenever and makes your hair silky too. so glad i found this or my hair would be damaged from frequent coloring.

  • good luck with the pregnancy :)

    much love <3

  • Sooo happy that you're back!

  • erica!! its GS from stickam...

    why don't you visit anymore!!!

  • hey! Man I totally forgot about it to be honest lol It started acting up on me there for a while and wouldn't let me in the chats (I think the site was having issues) and I just gave up. I need to come back and talk to you all again! A lot of people still there? Thanks for checking in on me! :D

  • great video. im much older than you and suprisingly, i actually learned something new. thanks!!! wishin u the best.

  • AHHH i missed ya :D

and i want a white tree SO bad xD

  • Omg i so happy your back

  • Aww I was just thinking about you today, and how I missed your videos! I guess you heard my thoughts! haha :)

Anyway, thank you so much for this video, my hair is really damaged by color treatment (blond), and I really want it to grow faster, so thank you sweety!

    xxx from Denmark

  • Your tree is soooo pretty! Yes co washing is great!

  • Aww thank you :D It's just a 20 dollar dollar store tree lol but we got some really good deals on the ornaments, tinsel and bows at walmart. Whole thing cost us under $100 all together We have been married since 07 but this was our first year putting one up and we had to get everything :D

  • One more comment lol...did you find that your hair felt greasy or oily the at first? Or was it ok from the beginning? I want to try this, but I have an oily scalp and my hair is thick, but very straight.

  • At first it did but I think the very first time I did it I didn't rinse it out good enough after that the next time I rinsed like a mad woman and it was perfect. So I think I should have just rinsed really well the first time and it would have been all good that time too :D

  • wow you look great..my guess is that at times you dont feel so great..i know how that is...your face looks slimer that tends to happens during some pregnancies...that happend me when i was pregnant with my son..i slimed down some.. but you look good as you always have...

  • Thanks! Yeah, I think staying sick made me lose some weight in my face a little. And it was funny because I went to this doctor and he yelled at me and said I had gained 6 pounds in a month jumped all over me and turned out his scale was broke I had lost weight! lol I was so mad haha

  • I haven't tried co-washing...yet, but I never use any shampoo that's not sulfate free. I haven't for almost a year now. I've noticed a huge improvement in my hair's condition, they way it feels, and it grows faster. Two I would recommend are Loreal Everpure and the Organix line (both at drugstores for around $6) They are worth trying.

  • Thank You Erica for posting this video, the idea of less chemicals is very interesting, however my hair gets greasy in just a day, do you think it is still worth a try, or maybe it's just not for me?

PS. I'm was so happy to see that you posted this video, you are the reason I got into watching Youtube and you have been hugely missed!

  • Thanks! That really makes me happy that you notice when I haven't posted. I feel special now lol :D I dunno your hair could be getting greasy because your scalp is dry and it's over producing oil to compensate. If that was the case then it would probably help but if you are anything like Eric (my hubby) he just has naturally oily hair no matter what so he needs the shampoo to get it all off. I would say maybe try on a day when you don't have to go anywhere just to see what it does. Worth a shot.

  • yea alot of ppl wouldnt try this cause they say their hair would get greasy but if u know that ur hair will get greasy then use a clarifying or cleansing conditioner instead of a regular moisturizing one.

  • Very very true. Good point! You're smart! I know I needed you all for a good reason haha :D Where would I be without you all ? lol

  • lol thanks Ms. Erica

  • Ditto what dabadestceecee said. Or, if you're interested in a regimen with fewer chemicals, a lot of folks who co-wash also incorporate periodic baking soda and/or apple cider vinegar rinses to clarify. There are also a lot of natural ways to "wash" without shampoo too--look up aryuvedic hair care.

  • So glad to see you again girl! I've missed your vids. Thanks for this video. I've heard a little bit about co washing, but wasn't really sure what it was all about.

  • Yay on the pregnancy! I miss you:) Hope it goes well.

  • Erica you really have to try pantene's detangler... it's lovely!

  • Thanks for the recommendation I didn't even know they had one lol I am behind. Does it have a special name or anything or is it just called detangler?

  • Glad to see you back. Thank you SO MUCH for posting this video. I had no idea about this method. I'm soooooo excited to give it a try.

  • We missed you ! you look great !

    Wishing you many blessings :)

  • Soooo happy to see you again!! Congrts on the pregnancy!!!!! Take good care and Have a very Merry Christmas!!!!!!

  • OMG!! you are going to be the best MAMA ever!! i love you ♥

plus one cute lookin kid.lol :D

  • you can also do water only washing. you just have to have a good paddle brush and brush constantly to keep the oils moving or else you get build up. just search google for "water only hair washing." :)

  • Thanks for doing this video!! I want to try this now!! I really want to send you a baby present : )

  • haha aww thank you that is really sweet of you lol Someone else asked if they could send me a small present. If you want to I wont turn it down lol Since this is our first child I literally have nothing yet. I normally would say no but really with our budget at this point anything is a big help. Thank you for offering!

  • I'm sure someone will throw you a baby shower. Toss some hints around though just in case. ;)

When I saw the title of this video I thought "Has she been on the black hair boards...?" Lol...I've heard a *lot* about co-washing, but it's just not practical for me to wet my hair every morning in the winter. It's *way* too thick and coarse to let it airdry, and blowdrying daily would fry it. Maybe I'll try it out when summer rolls around...

BTW--cliche as it sounds, lol--you really are glowing. (:

  • I agree about not wetting your hair everyday and blowdrying because it will fry it. I'm kinda that way. It takes my hair ALL day to air dry and like an hour to blow dry. It's just not practical so I just wash my hair every couple days. It seems to be working well with that method too though :D

  • Congrats on the pregnancy! I hope it all goes well for you. I'm 33 weeks myself, and I'm getting so anxious!

  • I am sooo glad youre back!!!!!!!!! you look beautiful!!!!!!

  • this is very interesting! i never knew about this. Thank you for posting this!!

  • the best shampoo i've EVER used is tresemme... i moved to the us some time ago, and the shampoos that i used back at home just wouldn't clean my hair...

  • Thanks! I want to try that now. I've been wanting my hair to grow so badly!!! And you look awesome btw [= Hope you make a baby vlog soon! Take care ^_^

Oh and what kind of prenatal vitamins are you taking?

  • It's so good to see you back!!

  • If it's the friction that causes it to get clean, couldn't you just do it without the conditioner and only use water? I can NEVER get all of the conditioner out of my hair when I put it on my roots and it always looks disgusting! :)

  • Well I think the conditioner kinda helps to emulsify it I think that's the word. Funny thing is this would probably work with any kind of creme product but there has to be something there to help it scrub. A thick lotion or creme would probably be able to do the same thing I guess this was the easiest thing people could think of that would rinse easily. Do you think maybe the conditioner you tried was too good? Because that is the same thing that happened to me with the strawberry one I tried.

  • Maybe that's the problem. I know, though, that some shampoos even make my hair super oily looking. It has to be just the right kind of shampoo. So far I can't use L'oreal, Nexxus or Paul Mitchell.

Maybe I'll try a cheaper one next time I'm at the store! :)

  • Oh and I also wanted to say about the hair growth I heard that it comes from all the extra blood that your body has proceed for baby your hair grows becuase it is feed by blood and you have so much extra of it that your follicles are being over feed.

  • oops produced! lol brain fart

  • That's a possibility for the growth. Good thinking. Hmm, well I still know that it definitely has helped the condition of my hair anyway even if it didn't the growth. I swear you guys are so smart lol I'm glad to have you all around to help me out with my pregnancy brain farts haha so don't worry i have them too lol :D

  • I have fine sparse waist length hair and I do well with Co washing. I've tried no poo but this works better for me with my dry scalp.

You explained the process really well. :)

I'm glad you're felling a bit better. Best wishes for you and your family.

  • I was just thinking of you!! glad to see you are well! you are so having a boy

  • A good conditioner is Aussie Moist good for co-wasing, you can also use as a deep condition. Its about $5.97 for a big bottle at Wal-mart. And I am african american and it is the best thing I have done to my hair. Congrats on the baby!!!!

  • Ciao Erica,

Its so great to see you again. I am happy to hear that you are feeling a little better too.

I always co-wash my hair, its the only thing that keeps it healthy because I do colour it all the time. I tried many expensive things and nothing seemed to work, but co-washing is the best and now my hair is so soft and nice. Love it.

Hope that you have a great evening.

    Thanks for the video.

    Merry Christmas.

    Hugs & Kisses

    Love

  • EricaLeigh! Ive missed you bunches! thanks for posting =]

  • I am sssooo glad your back! i saw that you had a new video, and i was like YAY! lol

  • Your hair actually grows faster and falls out less when you are pregnant because of all the hormones.

oh and glad your back and glad your pregnancy is going OK . =]

  • Erica, thanks for the video.

I wish nothing but good health for you and your family and your little baby. Honest to goodness, pregnancy is one of the most beautiful things in life. I will keep you in my prayers. God bless!

  • maybe it's because you're massaging your head and it stimulates the roots?

  • That is very likely that it might be helping. Good point. That's another good thing about co-washing, gets your scalp in good shape and gets blood flow to the scalp. It's a good way to remind yourself to massage the scalp regularly cause you kinda have too. lol :D
