  • What? Jack Bruce is the god. Not Clapton, c'mon dudes...

  • Solo 2:45 is Clapton

  • Thismust have been shot on 16mm film cameras, one of which ran out along with its sync audio track (optical or mag) half way through and when the filming picked up on a different camera either the mic was different or the EQ never was checked to match it with the first camera. Gain changes are obvious too. But for that spontaneous feel nothing beats it. It just reminds me of the stuff I did in high school at the time!

  • 0:52 awesome off the cuff tuning

  • Why isn't Jack Bruce a bigger star? Amazing talent...

  • How you can tell is in one he's playing a regular Gibson and in the other hes playing a Flying V

  • Fuck men !! Clapton was on fire that night !!

  • Clapton is defenettly the best with the Cream,in his solo career he is to soft,he was good with BB KIng,but in my opinion Cream is the highlight of his career

  • Play

  • I love Clapton now he gave me more music to p

  • me:-mom, `let`s go to the church right now

mom:-great son, but why this changeof mood? i thought you were an atheist, what made you change your mind?

me:wel, i just listened to live cream, and i decided i wanted to see god playing live.

  • @bluesjoe147 haha, very well said :D

  • a very very powerful band....

  • @onlyjoetee at least I agree with you here 100%

  • Isn't this the Live Cream Volume 2 version?

  • @45pepelepew i think this is just live

  • @techman454 Listen to the bass on this version and the one on Live Cream Volume II they are not the same ;)

  • @45pepelepew this is the 'farewell' show they did at albert hall,,,,its in black and white to start ...for some strange reason. Jack Bruce is beautiful *sigh* Wasnt he? wow

  • All Film/DVD - RAH tracks from 2nd (8:30pm) Concert except White Room which is from 1st (6:30pm) Concert - on 26th November 1968.

  • Confused? Just to add to the general mish-mash - Tony Palmer was fond of interweaving visual segments from both concerts in and out of each other - even though the music was consistently from one concert, which is why you see EC playing chords on his 335 when he is actually soloing on his Firebird and vice versa ...

  • We do not have this in its entirety. It has been used in BBC documentaries (as here). After the news footage we return to the jam segment from the 1st (earlier) 6:30pm concert (Clapton plays Firebird) which appeared in its complete form in the Farewell Cream film (even though the rest of the concert was from the 2nd/final concert).

  • This is a not-so-clever combination of parts of the two versions of White Room performed that night. The opening vocal segment is from the 2nd (final) 8:30pm concert (Clapton plays semi-acoustic 335) version.

  • God takes over at 2:47

  • Clapton looked a lot cooler before he started wearing that stupid beard.

  • They we´re really GOOD! Still enjoy listen to it 43 years later.

  • I've always wanted to kill the tripping asswhypes that made this film. Of course, almost all producers of concert video think the camera's the star too.

  • Very NIce, Thank you

  • I just wish they could have been filmed @ Winterland with the immense light show behind them, doing N.S.U., Spoonful, Sweet Wine---black and white acceptable but not preferred.

  • well, there are maybe 3 videos spliced together here? Ginger doesn't have a bandana on at the beginning, then does in the middle, and not at the end? And half way through there is definitely several seconds missing. I'd like to see a clean uncut/spliced version of this.

  • i'm old enough to

  • Evo legendi bijelog Bluesa uživo!!!!!

  • Timeless........

The souls been lost in the music of today......

or maybe the soul of todays just lost.....

  • @vinnieagogo

Or maybe you dont know anything about the music of today

  • Interesting comment. I am less familiar with Jon's drumming but his son is impressive. Ringo's son is also no mean drummer judging by a clip of him doing Keth Moon playing I won't get fooled again. Ginger's style and sound has elements of tribal African and Arab drumming. Though his sound was different at 'recent 'Cream reunion. There was more of the wild man in him back in the old days.

  • Imaginense a cream con hendrix en ves de a clapton. hay creo que desperte y estoy mojado

  • Absolutely love this & can't get enough of it ! Ginger is my favourite drummer but barely got a mention recently when they did the greatest drummer of all time. They voted Jon Bonham number 1 with Ginger way down the list. Seems wrong to me. Nobody hits those drums quite like Ginger did with such venom although Phil Collins does a good imitation when he plays White room. Ginger gets my vote every time.

  • @FINEFELINE333 Ginger's good but bonham's style is just tight. but ginger is #2 on my list, bonham first, moon third

  • fantastic gig!!

    Clapton is GOD!

  • he made that solo his fucking bitch.

  • for some reason when the color footage starts, i literally feel like i am in 1968, 100% there, first row.

  • Was Ginger Baker just having a little pick me up before he launched into the Drums?

  • i like eric's vocals on this song better.

  • quick tune at 0:50

    that's talent.

  • @mistad00m yeah right, this is far the best song of cream, and cream is the best group! pure talent!

  • thank you for posting this

  • They called themselves "cream", and when you listen their songs, you understand the meaning of their name...Ginger Baker, Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, three names that don't need any word to say about, just listen cream...;)

  • Not Cream at their best. By Ginger Baker's admission ( seee Fresh Live Cream), but still damn good.. I still like it quite a bit..there's better live versions out there.. see Live Vol .2

  • Awesome song

  • abosolutely FUCKINg brilliant !!!!!

    black and white

  • Stupendously excellent vid, techman, but can you fix the gravitious audio jump after the protest bit?

  • To put the record straight, the first part of this video (Black & White) is from the 2nd show of the two shows performed on 26th November 1968, where Eric played his Gibson ES335. The second part, in colour, is taken from the 1st show, when Eric played the Gibson Firebird. This is taken from the Farewell concert video, the only number from the first set, the rest being from the second set. The first part (black & white) was filmed for inclusion in Rock' Roll Years TV series.

  • @MrBluenose1950 Thanks for putting the record straight.

  • Silver horses climb down moonbeams in your dark eyes

    Tired starlings . . .

    Restless diesel, goodbye window

Dawn light smiles on your leaving

Cream did not write these lyrics, as I understand it. But they are pretty good for a hard-rock song.

  • @vcx9dfne Just who the hell do you expect to have written it then ? Pete Brown WROTE for Cream

  • @Ethreo jack bruce and pete brown wrote this song, whoever is arguing about that is a numpty.

  • @Ethreo (:o)

  • Hearing this as a youth = wtf? As an adult, very interesting lyrics we never see anymore after 1992 or so. or perhaps since 1982. I think it's called art and skill. the performance isn't that great, but the idea is so great, it's been lost through marketing to Gen X, Gen Y, and Gen whatever.

  • Gooooosebumps!!!!

  • Hey - the first half of this video is NOT from the Farewell Concert video. It is most definitely a different version than the Tony Palmer movie. However - after that silly "sit-in" footage - when it goes back to the song and into color - it is the same footage. But I've never seen that first part in any form anywhere other than this video. If you have any doubt - watch the movie version and then this carefully and you will hear the obvious differences - especially in Jack's vocal.

  • are you trying to be sarcastic there? or are you actually admitting your retarded? little confused....

  • @TheManIsMyself sarcasm....

  • @techman454 hahaha!

  • these lyrics are trippy as hell and just as delicious. super underrated song

  • if they weren't stoned I'll eat my own hat lol

  • just a remainder., u have the right to copy, burn o record any thing at least 5 times..when u buy a dvd,a disc,a computer, a burner, blank discs o recorder device u are charged money that will be diverted betwen the artist , the author, the producer, the maker n the seller n on top of that u pay taxes for it, so the law said u can make a copy for u dvd or disc player, copy 2 times for the players on 2 cars, 2 more copies if u own 2 extra comp and a copy to give to u firends so burn it

  • loved it, excellent music, thankyou sweet

  • @Thylovely4you really "sweet" (:o)

  • far better than the 1968 albert hall version? THIS IS THE ALBERT HALL VERSION.

  • @TheManIsMyself hhahaha im fucking retarded lol

  • so sick....so absolutely sick in an incredible way

  • Gods, they were so young...

    I am truly getting old.

    Peace,

    ADT

  • Camera guy was absolutely brutal

  • Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker may have been the best rock rhythm section ever until Primus.

  • Dont forget about rush

  • @UnderStoryProd Geezer Butler and Bill Ward are also prtty high up there.

  • @UnderStoryProd Band of Gypsys and The Stones were pretty good too

  • Jack Bruce is one of the best rock bassists and vocalists ever...in his own mind. He's not bad, but pompous is putting it lightly.

  • he was a brilliant bassist though. his basslines made some of those cream tunes (badge.. white room..crossroads)

  • im playin this for a drum recital... im shitting blocks! i cant compare to ginger baker!

  • Ginger baker, one of the best drummer in rock history.

  • yea man he influenced John Bonham, of course also one of the best!

  • i thought clapton was lead vocals

  • you thought wrong

  • they are rollin on something

  • They definitely skipped the third verse...

    whatever, awesome solo.

  • One of the best bands of the 60's....

  • claptons best solo ever i think

  • you think wrong

  • POWERFUL.

That was like a slap in the face.

    AWESOME!

  • love this song

  • Not seen this before. Really awesome, far better than the 1968 Albert Hall version

  • thanks! agreed

  • Awesome!!!!!!

  • thanks
