Forward visibility looks terrible - about as good / bad as a taildragger on the ground when straight and level in this duck. No offence here, and I realise this comment will probably be removed but I think in micro aviation visibility is everything. So you've topped a trike on a dinghy. So what? I guess the drag is something terrible. Invent something!

Not on your life would I get in one of these things. I watched one go down while on holidays at the Sirenas la Salina Resort in Varedero Cuba in December. It crashed not 50 yards from where I was standing. Both occupants dead, not a pretty sight. It was absolutely horrific watching it fall out of the sky.

Yes, this was horrible. Specialist discovered it was critical part of the frame that should be replaced and it was not. This is not the Brio Flying Boat I manufacture, but it could hapen to it too. Unfortunately, accidents hapens all the time with cars, trains, motorcycles, airplanes and boats because of lack of required maintenance and some times results are dramatic.

I feel sorry for you being a witness of this tragedy.

Thnak you. The fuel consumption is 15 litres per hour. The ceiling is 10000 feet max. A brand new machine costs aorund U$ 35k

@flybrio £35k is a crazy cost for that. I don't know much about aircraft but any car is more complicated and harder to construct than that yet costs a fraction of the price.

Should be closer to the cost of a regular car cos its a pretty simple thing.

It is wise to use beachs without crowd. The aircraft legislation changes from country to country. In Brazil we can take off on beaches as long it does not expose risk to people. So populated beaches is an issue.

i can't remember where i found the pics. the design had two hollow pipes running up from the boat for the paragliders strings or whatever they're called to run through and to hold the canopy out of the water. that's what it looked like. the canopy was suspended when it wasn't inflated

people die all the time around here because they get an ultra-lite and don't know how to fly. It is pretty sad. This young guy went to high and he got cold and the oxygen level was poor and he lost consciousness and died. And then crashed of course.

Hi, yes unfortunately this sad stories hapens due to lack of proper training. We do not suggest such high ceiling to our pilots. We advice for 8000 ft at most, but our pilots love to fly 300 ft anyway.
