I don't care if Jake Shears is gay, sexual orientation has nothing to do with musical ability. The Scissor Sisters are great, as were Queen and other LGBT artists.
Putting that aside, THIS IS AWFUL, for the love of god stick to the original material, Land of a Thousand Words, I Don't Feel Like Dancing, Laura, Take Your Mama all great songs. This is a dreadful bastardisation of a classic. Covers should be different but this ruins a timeless classic.

A cover is meant to pay homage and add something unique to an original. All this does is take the lyrics, strip them of any meaning and then, as if to spit in the face of the original, makes the whole thing sound awful with a terribly annoying voice and shallow pop beat.
So, in conclusion, the scissor sisters have taken a classic, sucked the soul out of it and then taken a massive shit all over it in the name of making a few quid.
If that was a bad remix you would be right but they actualy made a real good song man, i like more the original but this a diferent style so shut up and think better before criticizing a good song ( or a good remix )

I agree... Tiga definitely had the upper hand in this and helped produce a fantastic cover. I don't know why some people are so against it. It's not supposed to be Pink Floyd or a mockery at that. It's just taking it in a completely different direction, which I truly appreciate and I think more people should.
I think cover versions sohould be always radically different to the original ones, there's always a lack of creativity in most of the covers of this song, and Scissor Sisters manage to give this song a different point of view.
