  • It's a little bit too slow, and off rhythm at places, but overall nice performance, very precise on the notes :)

  • @foreveraloneik must feel smart telling someone how to play something on youtube

  • i play this song too, and not to be rude but you're kinda messing up the tempo on those fast notes....

  • I put the audio of this on my iPod and thought it was the real thing! You are fantastic

  • Thank you very much !

  • c'est vraiment génial! c'est en effet la meilleure vidéo que j'ai entendu pour ce prélude.

Dorénavant, je le jouerai ainsi. Merci de m'avoir donné un peu d'inspiration pour jouer ce morceau.

  • Fantastic! Really good interpretation. The run at the end was a teensy bit messy, but all the other runs are fantastic. You play in such a clean and articulate style! Keep it up!

  • Wow! This is amazing! You are so talented! I'm thinking about learning this and I want to know if you have any suggestions for me? =)

  • Thanks dude, it gives me a first idea of the piece, in general =)

  • just started working on this one nice job :P

  • This is one of the pieces with wich i have more fun playing, i love it

  • awesome

  • I freaking loved that. Well done

  • wrong. 0:32

  • this was probably the best sounding video of this song i've listened to on youtube..

i'm having a lot of trouble counting the song, and this helped a lot

    thanks!

  • doing this for vce music this year! that is so much faster than i can play it at the moment haha

  • Nice! It sounds so clean, and I liked the style of dynamics you used.

  • Very Nice!!

  • very exciting. :D my teacher wanted me to play this but i couldnt reach some of the chords. = [ i love ur playing!

  • This is great. Great job on your success in the competition.

  • you're pretty good in it

  • I'm having the worst time learning this piece! Anyone who can play it this beautifully is a god in my book. Your playing is wonderful!

  • @murderXmeXsweetly You just have to practice very slow and then increase the tempo little by little :) I've learned 2 pages and I have 2 more.Good luck!

  • not a bad interpretation! i would pick up the tempo a little bit (but not too much), theres a little too much accent on the first beat in the bass, lighten up a little. and add a little more contrast in the dynamics, it has a tendency to kinda stay the same volume throughout. and break for just a few seconds right before the ascending arpeggio at the end. take this all in a good way, i like your playing! would like to hear the other 2 preludes! good job

  • the score has no break before the ascending chromatics at the end though. it's all up to interpretation = D

  • iinteresting, i have it in my score (two little slashes at the end of the measure). what edition do you have??

  • by the way, on the recording Gershwin himself made, theres a break. this would indicate his intentions

  • I play this too, this ain't easy

    good job!

  • Should have got first prize. This NOT an easy piece to play as it is murder to find a good tempo. You have found it. Remarkable job.

  • very good. i love this song. :D

  • how do you record yourself so well? btw, great job!

  • woah nice job!

  • i play this peice too, right now

  • I've played this also =DD for Diploma =D

    i've played it be4, and i agree, it is a blast ;)

  • i loved it, but, why didnt you make a video of you playing it?

  • A video wasn't required for a scholarship that I applied to.

  • This is nice :)

    500$

lol. great playin. continue the good work

  • On first look the piece appears to be easy, but the tempo of this song gets me every time! I feel as though I have to play two completely different tempos for both the left and right hand.

  • Ahh. XD I don't know, I think I got used to the rhythm, because I've been taking jazz band for two years. I'm used to the different rhythmical feelings now. :D It's so fun though, and I love the different jazzy rhythms that Gershwin uses!

  • absolutely flawless :)

    congrats on your win!

  • nice job on the prelude :]

i played this a year ago and i agree

it is A LOT of fun

  • Congratulations!

  • Nice.
