Jackson Hole has become just that! A Hole of pretentious individuals. Their mere existence in such a place is akin to having and outhouse in a kitchen. The scenery is beautiful, but what the hell is that smell?
@scienceofgod Yes, town sucks. The village sucks even more. But, once you get past the Elk Refuge, it's still the most beautiful place on the planet. We'll be on Antelope Flats in a cabin in three days. It's home. We raised our kids there, but couldn't afford to stay. You wanna see a natural wonder that's been defiled, check out Aspen or South Lake Tahoe. Jackson Hole is still Jackson Hole (even though the glaciers are almost gone). Skip the Cowboy. Ain't been a cowboy in there in 20 years.
@slownoman Welcome home to Wyoming :) And yes i agree about Aspen and Tahoe.
Sorry to hear about you not being able to afford to stay where you raised a family. I mean that with great sincerity. I have lived in Wyoming all my life (ranch family). I have been many places around the world and in this country, but Wyoming is still the absolute greatest for solitude and outdoor beauty. Well enough said. Good night from Wyoming and the best to you and yours.
I had the honor and pleasure of being born and rased in the "Hole". Not quite the same as when I grew up there. The view is still good. The people........ Not so much.

i live in southern california and i must say that Jackson is the one place i wish i was at almost all the time. its not like any other place i have been to.
I have family in Wyoming, went to visit them over this past summer. It was like nothing I have ever experienced. So beautiful! It made me realize how bad the air quality is where I live (central California) you can actually see the sky, mountain and want to breathe in the air, in Wyoming.
Hey abler78 I know what you mean man I also live in Dallas where it's 104 in July here but only 70-75 in July there. Jackson Hole is
the most beautiful place on earth I think and downtown does still have that old west feeling. Then you look up and see snow king mnt and it just takes your breath away every time. I hope and pray the good lord will make a way for me to be "a local" of Jackson Hole one day.
I live in Colorado. I have been to Wyoming. That drive going west through our mountains and up through Wyoming to Jackson has got to be one of the most beautiful drives in the world. I am going to do it again.
Thank you for this video. The music was good, too.
I've spent a total of about 20 of my 60 years in Jackson Hole. Like we say, it may not be heaven, but you can see it from there. It's turned into a wealthy ghetto, and town has turned into a parody of the true western town it once was (when cowboys went to the Cowboy Bar). Still, we go back every summer. I love it and always will. What America was, Wyoming still is. Spare me Rock Springs, however.
I used to live there, then after about a year and a half came back to Dallas Texas. Wish I could have lived there longer, but my mom and dad said no. It was so beautiful up there

I was born and grew up in Utah and love the Wasatch range.
after the 2002 "Olympics", most of my favorite campsites were condos and parking lots.
Now I live in Your Town 3 years is all.....I can tell you it is 10 billion times better than the SLC. (there is no bad side of town)
lots of peace and love at ya.

It is so comforting to know that there are so many people in this world to connect with who love the kind of things I do!!
And given the beauty of exterior (mine), it won't be hard to do!!
So glad I've been to Jackson Hole several times and I plan on going back!
Love the video-thanks!
