i think he did a great job, if this was the only piece he had to play that day im pretty sure he would of blown your minds, mark my words, 5 years from now this kid will be on the cover of every magazine you people read, not sure what that is but you'll see!
yeah I totally agree with you guys. Even though I made this video less than a year ago, looking back on it, it's definitely lacking in regard to musicality and NOTE ACCURACY. Sorry to disappoint.
Interesting interpretation, but undoubtedly WAYYYY too fast dude. There is little dynamic variance where needed and a good deal of the notes are ghosted or omitted entirely. You are trying to tell a story, so to speak, not show off your ossum technique, which wasn't bad btw. If you want to show off your chops, play some Burritt or something, not a simple, lax piece such as this one. Mallets are way too hard. The middle section was good tho.
do you realize that on the first dance, the tempo called for is between 112 and 126? you're playing it at 140 with fluctuation up and down tempo-wise. you are just blowing through this and not showing any musicality you might have, not to mention all the wrong notes. 4/10
You are correct, the original tempo is 112 to 126, but that is the dotted quarter note. He is going less than 100, probably around 93-96 if you give the dotted quarter the pulse. The original tempo is much faster than he starts the piece, granted there are a lot of spots where the tempo fluctuates, but still. If you are going to be harsh, at least know what you're talking about first.
a mi me gusta... detalles cosas que haria distinto pero tmabien cosas que voy a hacer gracias a ti es cuestion de gustos me parece que se puede mejorar pero muy muy bien BRAVO!!!

Great job! What school do you go to?

Very legit for a high school recital. Tempo of the 1st movement was definitely not too fast according to the score, though. Nice work man!

Mallets....ARGH!!!!!
This piece needs to sing. It isn't singing at all. Fast is not always good. You lose the character of the piece when you play it too fast.

Not terrible, but next time, focus more on notes then on speed.
