  • the boy on the black and white is cute same with the pony

  • haha thats cute:)

  • I want them soooo bad :D

  • that was cute

  • I'm pretty sure you're right lol

  • i always put my neice on my mini its cute my neice is under 30 pounds but she loves it

  • they're trotting around the arena for 4-5 minutes, not jumping a 4'3 course!

  • die armen kleine ;D

  • sie sind sehr starke pferde.

  • I thought horses were only supposed to carry 15 - 20% of their body weight?

  • That's true but for smaller breeds, they have shorter backs and can carry more weight. Just think about the icelandics, they carry a 250pound man all day and they're only 13hh

  • i think its great for minis to trust people to ride them and i love the video it was great :) but some of the other people who are uploading pics of siting on there minis bum and kicking it where the ribs end is real sad and the mini ended up bucking her off

  • My minis are VERY well trained. They show in singles, pairs, tandem, unicorn and four in hand showing. They are VERY well taken care of. The lady in the beginning is a Certified Driving Coach. Pretty sure she knows a thing or two about abilities of horses. Thanks for the comment.

  • What groovy little ponies, they seem to really love it aswell. So cute x

  • aww so cutee

  • Haha very cute

Love ponies!!! I think you guys should have a rematch!!!

  • Cute video! and to those saying the horses shouldn't have been ridden, think about the fact that they were orriginally there to pull carts in mines. they are for heavy work. and a horse can carry a heavy load if it is for a short time (meaning like and hour) as long as it isn't for tough work multiple times a week.

These horses look healthy and happy, let it go and be glad the owners are taking care of them.

    And stay off people's backs.

  • These weren't breed for mining. Those are Shetlands. These are american bred minis. But everything else you said is very true! Thanks! :-)

  • kewl vid!! i ride my minis and they dont have a problem with it! ppl who dont have minis wouldnt understand cuz they think they are so small and vragile!

  • they obviously dont ride them like every day horses it was just a cute vid relax!

  • u gutzz r allll to uptight 1st of all they probably dont REALLY RIDE THESE PONIES they prob keep them 4 fun 2nd of all y would u wear a helmet when u could just step off if something went wrong 3rd of all peeps dont post videos to get negitive comments dont u have anything else to do!??? and last of all the ponies r having soooo much fun just look at them

  • i'm in my teens and yet those ponies are the perfect size 4 me

  • Unlike you I wear a helmet.

  • how do you know what I do? I'm not in the video.

I'm past wearing a helmet anyway, a tophat works for me.

  • I'm so sick of everyone thinking they have to protect everyone else. Great for those people that ride with helmets, i do most the time too. but there are times they r necessary and times they aren't as much. Besides, people have made it thousands of years without being over protective. Let people live thier own lives and step off!

  • bravo. well said!

  • I agree well said!!

  • I have 24 horses from minis to drafts. I don't need anything else, thanks though. That was also a good tip.

  • Here's a tip. If your feet can touch the ground while on the pony, your pony is too small.

  • Here's another tip. If your feet can touch the ground, you need rollerblades.

  • Hahaha!!

    Good one.

  • yea u can c they r good looking ponys but that 1 guy seems really big 4 that pony idk u can't do anything about it it's their horses and compared to what people do to horses this is like giving them bags of treats

  • no minnies... ive seen smaller, but they sure are cute!!

  • yeah its only a bit of fun, ive been on a small horse but then again it was way too small for me and i fell off haha

  • If the mini's had so much trouble carrying them then how come they aren't doing anything about it? the mini's could easily buck/throw/rol them off. Rather than you all nagging about them being too big for them why don't you go pester some people with ideal-size horses that don't look after them properly! these mini's are cared for really well - you can see that, thier ears are not pinned back. Great video :) but i do agree you can't ride them for two long, but you dont ;) x

  • Trust me guys, ponies are STRONG. If the riders were to heavy the ponies would've most likely bucked them off. And they would'nt be able to walk. Also, the ponies are in very good shape. If the people were to heavy they'd have swade backs and they wouldn't look as good as they do.

    Anyways, cute video :)

  • Thanks!! These ponies are in GREAT shape. They're the team to beat in our province for anything in harness. I'm not worried about what people say... they're owned by a nationally certified driving/riding instructor... she knows what's "too much" for them!

  • I care for over 60 horses a day. again i'll say that i'm well aware what my horses can handle. the video is three minutes long becuase that's all we rode them for

  • So many people think minis are sooo tough. And they are to a point. But no mini should carry 190 pounds for any length of time or any reason Way too much weight. I have four minis and I never understand why so many big people feel the need to ride them. I see hundreds of videos on here of too big people riding minis. You look like you otherwise take care of and love your horses. Please don't ride those precious minis anymore. Enjoy driving them, they are better suited for that!

  • well you definatly shouldent ride them too much or it could strain their back cuz the height and weight of you but its ok to ride a lil i once got on a 10.5hh pony i think(but he wasnt a mini) in his stable

  • careful when riding them, don't stay on too long!

  • yeah i know. we have over 50 horses. and have since before i was born. they're only rode by my brother and his friends his weight.. like 150? and it's only for a few minutes then we drive them.

  • you have a lot!!!!! Good thing that ur smart not to hurt them like other people do.

  • Stupid cows...somebody should ride you instead!

  • ;-) I would like that.

  • Sitting on for a brief moment probably wouldn't hurt anything and may even feel good to them, but you're on them for an extended amount of time and forcing them to move which fatigues their muscles causes their toplines to sag. It's a good way to start damaging tissue and cause spinal kissing so that your minis have arthritis and back problems later in life. Or maybe you're not planning on owning them that long anyway? Poor horses!

  • those ponies are soo cute!!! but [and i am just voicing my opinion here] i think you guys are too big to be riding them. if this is not the case then i apologise - but like i said they are just the cutedt things! hope you have more fun with them in the future!

  • I see where you're coming from but we're doing barrells or anything with them. They are driving horses, they have incredibley developed toplines, they are very strong. They're only used like this to jump on for a laugh and they have a blast too. Thanks for you concern.

  • ah i see lol! well have fun!

  • lol u might be a little to big for them! jk lol

  • what kind of horse is the bigger one?

also what is the weight limit i am probably going to get one!:)

  • They're just miniatures. They don't get broken into breeds other than that.

I'm not sure of the weight limit, my brother is the guy in the gray shirt and he's 190lbs and Rocky carries him fine.

  • oh well thanks!!

  • yall didnt hurt there backs did yall??!!

  • Nah, we don't ride them hard enough to hurt them.

  • wheres you hat tuttut its a long way down you no

  • haha! I know, right!

  • Tough ponies!

  • Full size attitudes though!!

  • Them's some tiny ass horses.
